F I F T Y - T W O

After terrifying the wits out of Mrs. Weasley, the Weasley twins – along with the rest of the teenagers – went into the kitchen to help set up for dinner. Adeline walked into the kitchen to find Tonks, who she had come to love over the past few days, trying to carry over a giant stack of plates to the table and set them in their places.
"Let me help," Adeline said with a small smile as she took some of the plates of the top. She navigated her way through the mass of chairs and people to try and take them to the table. However, on her way, she didn't notice a chair leg sticking out on her right, causing her to trip and the plates to go flying in the air.
George immediately swooped in to cast a spell that caused the plates to levitate a few centimeters off the ground. "Can't take you anywhere, Addie," He teased as he helped her off the ground. "You know you could use magic to carry those right?"
Adeline shook her head. "I went seventeen years in a Muggle house, I'm perfectly fine without using magic for every little thing. Plus, I think your mum is about to strangle you two with the amount of magic you've been using."
As if it was almost perfect timing, Fred dropped a humongous bread knife and flask of butterbeer that he had been levitating to crash on the table, causing the knife to just barely miss Sirius's hand and the glass to smash. Even though Sirius seemed amused by the mistake and didn't care in the slightest, Mrs. Weasley began yelling at the twin, furious that he had nearly hurt Sirius and had been using magic nonstop ever since he had been back home for the summer.
"For heavens sake!" Mrs. Weasley bellowed, her face turning as red as her hair. "There was no need! I've had enough of this! Just because you're allowed to use magic now, you don't have to whip your wands out for every tiny little thing! And that means both of you!"
"I was just trying to save a bit of time!" Fred responded as he hurried forward to pull the knife out of the wood. "Sorry, Sirius, mate – didn't mean to –"
For the first time that evening, Harry was laughing hysterically as Fred finally managed to rip the knife out of the table. Adeline sat down next to George and held her hand up to her mouth, trying to hide her giggles at the scene in front of her.
"Fred," Mr. Weasley cut in with a calm voice. "Your mother's right. You're supposed to show a sense of responsibility now you've come of age–"
"None of your brothers caused this sort of trouble!" Mrs. Weasley interjected in a furious voice. "Bill didn't feel the need to Apparate every few feet! Charlie didn't charm everything he met! Percy–"
Mrs. Weasley stopped dead in her tracks, her red face going instantly sheet white. Mr. Weasley, who normally had a kind smile on his face, suddenly had a wooden expression on his face.
Adeline looked up at George, who was staring at the table with a stony look on his face. Him and Fred had mentioned that something had happened between Percy and his parents, yet Adeline hadn't learnt exactly what happened yet. She tried to catch his gaze, but George didn't seem to want to, so Adeline meant the mental note to ask him about this at a later point.
"Let's eat," Bill said quickly, moving to start helping serve the food and change the topic from Percy Weasley, which everyone at the table was thankful for.

"You know, I'm surprised with you, Harry. I thought that the first thing you'd do when you hot here was start asking questions about Voldemort."
