Adeline wanted to find some way to hex the Death Eater who had her trapped. But, with his wand at the ready and her feeling like she was about to pass out from the way his arm was wrapped around her throat, Adeline felt terrified to even attempt to fight against him. Every time she even struggled or wiggled around, he would tighten his grip.

The only one who hadn't been captured was Harry, who also hadn't noticed Lucius Malfoy was standing behind him until he spoke up. "Did you actually believe – or were you truly naïve enough to think that children stood a chance against us?"

"Don't listen to him, Harry!" Neville shouted, and he was quickly silenced by Bellatrix pressing her wand against his throat.

Harry made eye contact with Adeline, who was standing next to Neville. She shook her head, silently begging him not to give in.

Still, Harry turned back to Lucius and slowly placed the glowing sphere in Lucius Malfoy's outstretched hand. Adeline's heart dropped, and Harry didn't dare to turn back and look at any of his friends.

Then, to her shock, there was a bright flash of white light right in front of the archway. When the light dissipated, Adeline saw Sirius Black standing in it's place. "Get away from my godson," Sirius hissed before punching Lucius Malfoy square in the nose.

As he flung back from for the force of Sirius' punch, the prophecy fell out of his hands and smashed into a collection of tiny pieces on the ground. The room became filled with flashes of bright white light as members of the Order of the Phoenix began to appear and fight against the Death Eaters.

In an attempt to help and fight, Adeline started shooting spells at whatever dark shadows she could find. The Order members were so focused on getting the younger teenagers out or fighting the Death Eaters that they didn't notice her at first. Up ahead, Adeline could see Harry and Sirius dueling with Death Eaters incredibly close to the archway.

Not even a few seconds later, Adeline noticed Bellatrix appear in the distance and point her wand directly at Sirius Black. Before Adeline even had a chance to think about what she was doing, she shouted a curse and hit Bellatrix square in the back.

Bellatrix tripped forwards, giving both Harry and Sirius a chance to stumble away and out of her sight. When she finally turned to see what had happened, Bellatrix found Adeline standing several meters away, frozen in fear and trying to hide how badly her hands were shaking.

"Adeline, what are you doing!" Estelle screamed. As much as she resisted, however, she found herself being dragged away by a member of the Order, screaming Adeline's name as she left.

"The little girl wants to play!" Bellatrix cackled.

Bellatrix raised her wand just as Adeline shouted another spell, but was able to deflect away Adeline's curse. A split second later, a green flash of light just barely grazed past her face. Adeline had thankfully tilted her head away at the exact same time, otherwise she would've already been dead.

Bellatrix then shouted a spell that Adeline didn't recognize, and she couldn't defend herself in time. The spell hit her on the side and it began to sting painfully, but Adeline couldn't think about that. If she got distracted for a moment or focused on anything else, Bellatrix would kill her.

Adeline wasn't sure how long she had been fighting Bellatrix when Bellatrix suddenly disappeared in a cloud of black smoke. Thinking that Bellatrix was going to suddenly appear again, Adeline watched the cloud carefully and held her wand up.
