HARRY POTTER AND ADELINE REYES SPEAK OUT AT LAST: WHAT TRULY HAPPENED THE NIGHT OF THE THIRD TASK AND HOW THEY SAW YOU-KNOW-WHO RETURN
An Exclusive Interview by famed Daily Prophet writer Rita SkeeterWitches and wizards, I know you missed me. I have been taking a well-deserved break from the Daily Prophet, but as you all know, my quill and thirst for an exclusive interview rests. But when I say I have an exclusive interview for you all today, I mean it. I had the opportunity to sit down with the two Hogwarts Triwizard Champions today: Harry Potter and Adeline Reyes. For the past year, they have been facing accusations of lying, deception, and outright insanity. But they have never told anyone what truly happened.
Today, I am the first to know. But when this interview is published, you all will as well: you'll learn what happened to Harry and Adeline and how they saw You-Know-Who rise to power.
Rita: The first question many people have...how did you both end up in this supposed graveyard you're always talking about? Wasn't the goal of the task to be the first one to get the Triwizard Cup? And didn't you start in a maze?
Harry: Adeline and I had reached the Triwizard Cup at the same time, and both of us wanted the other person to take it. I was the one who insisted that we take it together. The Triwizard Cup was a Portkey that took us to a graveyard where we'd eventually encounter You-Know-Who.
When did you realize something was wrong? Why didn't you immediately go back to Hogwarts when you realized the Portkey hadn't taken you back to the arena where everyone was?
Harry: We both thought it was weird. I thought that maybe the Triwizard judges were trying to surprise us with a new part of the Third Task. But, then I realized I had the seen the graveyard before in a dream, and I knew it had something to do with You-Know-Who. When I realized, I told Adeline to run. To grab the Portkey and escape. I kept trying to tell Adeline to leave, but she just kept saying she wouldn't.
Adeline, you could've just easily abandoned Harry in the graveyard that night. He even told you to. Why didn't you?
Adeline: I didn't want to leave him. I had this feeling that something terrible was going to happen, and I didn't want to leave him be. By taking that Portkey, I would've been taking his only escape route away. I was just about to summon the Portkey for us to go back when they appeared, and Harry forced me to hide.
By they, do you mean You-Know-Who and his servants?
Harry: Only one servant at that point, but yeah. You-Know-Who and his servant.
