It was just a normal day for me. Tied in a chair, a gun to my head, the enemies underestimating me... You know, the usual 9-5. Currently, the five men in front of me were speaking in Russian, assuming I wouldn't understand, and I genuinely had to keep myself from laughing. If only they knew they were telling me everything I needed to know. Suddenly, one of their phones began to ring and they all seemed confused. The head honcho, you know, leader of this little misfit gang, answered his phone.

"Who is this?" He asked, and I watched his face go from anger, to surprise, to panic, and then finally land on worry. Meaning it was one of three people on the other side of that phone. Also meaning I wasn't going to like whatever it was about, and I had a feeling I knew it would require me going back to the States. Damn. The man suddenly held the phone out to me, and put it between my ear and my shoulder.

"This better be important. I'm working." I muttered, and when I heard a sigh, I rolled my eyes with a huff. Of course it was her.

"It's time to come in, Freya." The voice said, and I sighed feeling annoyed. One whole damn year is the longest I can go without being bothered. Can I get a lifetime of peace and quiet? Apparently not.

"You haven't spoken to me in years, and that's the first thing you have to say? Kinda disappointed, Nat." I muttered, ignoring the men in front of me. They already gave me everything I needed, so they were now irrelevant.

"Look, I know you wanted your peace and quiet and all, but we really need your help sister." Nat said, and I fought from groaning. She just had to pull the sister card. Of course she fucking did. But it also meant that whatever was going on was pretty bad if they needed my help. I sighed, knowing I was probably going to regret this.

"Where am I meeting you?" I asked, and I could basically hear her smile. She knew I would say yes, so she didn't need to act all giddy about it, jeez...

"New York. S.H.I.E.L.D. facility." She said, and I just tossed the phone to the side. I didn't want to head back to the States, but I couldn't just not help out. I wiggled my fingers, and felt the restraints come off as my magic removed them. The men realized what happened, and went to attack but I just winked at them and ported myself to the S.H.I.E.L.D facility and came face to face with Fury. I rolled my eyes, and walked past him heading to the conference room. I walked in, and Nat stood up, confused at my sudden arrival.

"That was... fast." She said, and I wanted to say something about my magic, but it wasn't the time or place.

"I have a magical ride. Talk to me." I said vaguely, before getting serious. Suddenly, in walked a few people and I recognized Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, and Clint Barton. I narrowed my eyes at him, and he just raised an eyebrow.

"How do we know we can trust her?" Steve asked, looking between everybody before staring at me. I blinked, before taking a deep breath. Dear god just kill me now...

"He's right. I don't trust you." Said a man as he walked in, and I raised an eyebrow. Everyone knew this man. Tony Stark. The big Iron Man.

"It's fine, fellas. I don't like you, so consider it a mutual feeling." I remarked, before noticing a long blonde haired guy grinning at me. He looked at the others, before turning his gaze back to me.

"Oh I like her." He said, and I just winked at him causing him to laugh. Clint chuckled, and I turned to face him, my eyes narrowing. Don't think I haven't forgotten...

"She has a mouth and an attitude, but we can trust her. Hey Freya. Been a few years." Clint said, leaning against the doorframe and I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms. It wasn't that I didn't like Clint, I did... but he was real fucking rude to me in Budapest and I haven't forgiven him quite yet.

"Barton. Budapest, right? Not enough time since then." I muttered, before turning to Nat who looked amused. Glad one of us was entertained...

"Thor's brother, Loki, stole what's called the Tesseract. We need to get it back." Nat said, motioning to the blonde haired oaf. So he was Thor. Huh. Then I realized how vague Nat was being, and I narrowed my eyes.

"Easy enough. But what aren't you telling me?" I asked, and she sighed before giving me a dead ass stare.

"He has an army from space." She said, and I blinked. Okay. Was not expecting, well, that.

"You're joking..." I said, then saw the look on her face. "Okay so you're not joking... Do we know where this is gonna go down at least?" I asked, looking between everyone, and they all shook their heads. Just fucking dandy.

"We know they need a significant self sustaining energy source for... son of a bitch. Stark Tower." Stark said, and I raised an eyebrow. What on Earth could anyone need a power source like Stark Towers for, other than to inflate their ego? We all began readying. Nat gave us all ear pieces to put in so we can stay in communication, and I gritted my teeth knowing I couldn't just portal there. Well damn. Once we were all ready, we rushed there, Tony obviously being the first one there.

"It's started." Tony said, and as we got there we saw Tony flying around shooting... well aliens.

"You really weren't kidding..." I muttered, and Nat rolled her eyes as if to say no duh. Huh. Suddenly, a large ship that looked like a fucking prehistoric water species came out of the portal that was created by a blue stream of light.

"What is that?" Nat asked, and I knew we were all concerned by whatever this may be. It came towards us, and I knew that we'd have difficulty taking this thing down unless I used my magic. Damn. Didn't want Nat to know I knew about it quite yet, but well... I didn't want to die.

"Don't know, but heads up." I said, before letting my magic flow through me as the familiar tingle sensation covered my entire body. I flicked my finger, and a shot of powerful magic came flying out of my fingertips. I watched as it hit the prehistoric creature looking ship, and then continued through it before causing it to explode. Once everyone recovered from the blast, Nat gave me an incredulous look, laced with some guilt.

"You know..." she said, and I sighed before smirking at her. This was not the conversation to be having right now, as much as I needed answers from her.

"It was only a matter of time before I found out, so yeah. I know. But now's not the time to chit chat." I said, before focusing on the aliens. Well, I can at least practice my magic this way, and something told me it was going to be great practice.
