Angie:
I lay against Harley in the bed, as the doctor put a freezing cold gel onto my stomach, causing me to jump a little. Harley had his arm wrapped around my back, resting his hand on my hip, the other hand was intertwined with mine. As the doctor moved the stick around to try and find a heartbeat, I felt myself dying a little inside.
Then the machine started to make a thumping noise, and the doctor looked at us with a big smile on his face. "Meet your baby," He said pointing to the screen with a small laugh.
I flipped my head to look at the tiny baby on the screen, I squeezed Harley's hand, scruching up my eyes and letting out a shakey, reieved sigh.
"Is it okay?" I managed to ask the doctor.
He smiled at me caringly, "Yes, your baby is absolutely fine, this little one has a good, strong heartbeat. Now, you're about 12 weeks which is quite a way in really. I'll go and get you a few prints of the scan," He said briefly before wiping the gel off my stomach and leaving us - still staring at the screen.
Harley's hand moved from my hip and onto my stomach, I turned to look at him - I didn't even know what he thought about the whole baby thing as he hadn't said anything since I'd told him.
"Harley?" I asked hesitantly.
He let out a short laugh and blinked shut his eyes and flicked them open again to look at me.
"We're actually going to be parents," He said, laughing again at the end, a big smile coming across his face - causing me to smile too.
"I love you so much, and this little one," He whispered into my ear as his finger rubbed over my stomach.
"I love you more than you could ever know," I said back to him before he placed a kiss onto my lips.
