The canon had been successful. The female Titan stood motionless in our clearing, strung to explosives that would take her out in a flash.

Erwin had stayed hidden amongst the foliage, dropping from the branches to deliver the firing orders.

My squad had driven and unloaded the wagons directly into position, making sure the missiles would hit their target.

I had made my position on the ground, covering my ears when I had finally heard Levi's acoustic round fire through the air. Within seconds we had her in our capture.

As I was readying my gear to cling the tree to my right, the sound of another squad coming into the clearing snapped my head to the left.

Levi and Eren, accompanied by the Levi squad, cantered toward us, the Captain and my cousin coming to halt next to me.

"You need to talk sense into this boy of yours," Levi crooned as he tied his horse with mine.

I looked to Eren with a confused brow, my hands still readying my blades. He only shrugged and mouthed an apology before stepping down from his stirrup.

"He was gonna go Titan and ruin the damned plan," Levi continued.

"Go easy on him," I pleaded, placing my hand on his sturdy chest and looking up to him, "he doesn't know what's going on and he's scared. It the only thing he knows to do to help."

Levi just grumbled to himself, not bothering to look at me further as he tightened his ODM straps.

"I'm sorry, Celine," Eren came to whisper from my other side, boxing me into Levi and the tree. "I just- I know I can take that bitch if I were to transform."

I sighed and shook my head, bringing my fingers to tighten Eren's straps very roughly and quickly.

"Look around you, Eren," I noticed his eyes wandering around the trees. I took his chin and yanked it toward me.

"Do you see anyone here asking for your help?" I asked as he gazed at me. He shook his head.

"Then we must have a plan, haven't we?" I tightened the strap across his chest tightly and patted his cheek gently.

When I looked into his big green eyes, I could see all of my own fear reflected back at me. But he couldn't see that. It would ruin his chances of winning.

"I love you, ya know. I wouldn't let anything happen to you," I said, shoving his chest.

He chuckled and nodded, rubbing his neck. "I know. I love you too."

"Hey brat," Levi sounded from behind me, snaking his arm around my waist. I was very confused and nervous as he did, my eyes widening and my cheeks reddening.

"Listen to her will you? She's a pretty smart lady," with that, Levi zipped us up into the trees, landing us on a branch higher than the rest of the Corps.

"You took us too far," I pointed out at he set me down.

"No I didn't, Avery, look at me," Levi grabbed my upper arms and held me to his gaze intently.

"Erwin didn't tell you the real plan," he stated quickly.

"What?" I snapped, cocking my head. "I'm the Major, he clued me in on every meeting and every-"

"He was afraid you'd tell Eren!" Levi hissed, crouching slightly and holding me tighter.

My expression twisted into anger, my body pulling itself out of Levi's grasp.
