I had called out to Celine, watching as the titaness' hand converged around her.

I looked on in horror as her bones cracked beneath the giant fingers, her head lolling back before she was thrown so far that I was sure she'd land outside the forest. There would be no trees to catch her fall.

My body went numb as I landed, nearly rolling my ankle on the limb of the tree. I watched as Mikasa ranted, not hearing a word that she blabbered.

I only saw the Titan lunge for her.

Thankfully, as I launched forward, she slung out of the way, swinging after the beast when it fled.

I gunned it toward her, grabbing her by the waist and heaving us through the air.

"What are you doing?!" The girl chortled.

"We need to stay back for now!" I snapped at her. She showed her attitude and followed my lead. She wasn't the worst soldier to have fighting this thing.

"Maintain current distance," I ordered. "She's slowing down. Your fight wore her out too. It looks like she may have bitten the entire nape off."

I looked forward. "It's unlikely Eren survived."

"I'll handle all the cutting," I tightened my grip on my blades, "you find a way to distract her."

"Right," Mikasa nodded.

Our attack was a blur, slicing and cutting up every piece of flesh we could reach.  My body contorted into impossible forms as I flew through the air, fat tears sliding from the corners of my eyes as I let me rage consume me.

The bitch had thrown Celine. Not even a week ago, I had kissed her, hopefully letting her know how I'd felt toward her. But the last thing I had done was snap at her, avoiding her very touch as if it were corrosive.

My ODM lines began smoking, letting me know that I needed to stop. Mikasa looked to me as I shot back into a tree, my chest heaving heavily.

She met me on the branch I occupied, staring at the Titan intently as she slumped in her spot, hand still covered in the odd crystal, protecting her nape.

"What do we- do?" Mikasa choked out between breaths. "She still has him."

"She can't run and hold her neck forever," I assured the teenager. "She's too tired to run now. We wore her down."

Mikasa shook her head, straightening her spine to stand tall next to me. As she did, her head peeled up and to our left.

"Do you hear that?" She asked, turning to look into the dense trees.

I stayed silent, listening for a moment. Just faintly, I could hear what she was referring to. I kneeled down to the tree, placing a palm to the wood. It shook in two by two rhythm, like someone was running toward us. A big someone.

As quickly as I stood from my kneeling position, the trees to our left side came crashing down, a thunderous roar scorching the air.

I'd barely had time to recognise what had come through the trees before it snatched the female Titan in its jaw, throwing her to the side with deadly force.

A heavy rock shifted out place in the tree, causing Mikasa and I both to stumble a bit.

"What the hell is that thing?" She gasped, watching the dust clear around us.

A fifteen metre Titan, covered in the odd crystal The female produced on her hands and nape, stood crouched in an attack stance.

The Titan roared out once again as it paced before the Titan it had thrown into a tree. The female slowly rose from her impact zone to steady herself against a giant tree.
