Madness of Mythos

Chapter 1

AT THE EDGE OF THE MILKY WAY, GALAXY

An uncharted deserted planet was lying on the Cygnus arm of the galaxy as the fleet landed. A tall purple skinned man wearing a gold and blue armor walked around the surface. Waiting around, he saw the stillness of the starry skies and the bright nebulous view. He looked around and sat on the rocky and dusty ground.

" This is strange..." the man wondered and looked around. " I thought it was only me who's vile and destructive..."

What appeared to be a male child approached from the distance his cape fluttering behind him and followed closely by three oddly colorful human figures.

The child walked right up to the purple man his gaze most curious and thought, " Odd. I sensed something....bigger....disappointing..."

" You must be? " he asked and knelt down.

One of the colorful beings drew his scythe menacingly his face red with anger. he approached the purple man and glared.

" Why did you ask?! You stand before the king of kings. The true master of the universe is Mythen Infinity! " he spat.

The boy raised his hand silencing the man and said, " Relax, Scythos. All he did was ask a question. That's not a crime."

" I am Thanos, the Mad Titan, " he replied. " I have the Infinity Stone which my servant Loki had given to me. Now, I'm looking for the places where I could find the others. "

Mythen bowed with respect and politely replied, " I'm familiar with Loki. Pathetic "god" of mischief. I am Mythen the ruler of the planet Mythos. I sensed your Infinity stone and mistook you for a servant of Galactus."

" I don't serve Galactus. I don't need his help to fulfill my mission. Indeed, Loki was pathetic after all. "

" Infinity stones?! I have no need for such worthless trinkets! " Mythen loudly laughed and summoned two seats out of thin air and a table with small tea cakes and a pot of tea which he poured into cups and gestured for the purple Titan to sit.

" You don't understand the tragedy behind them, " he sternly said as Mythen ceased laughing and listened. " The stones are meant for destruction and death. I will fulfill that prophecy to destroy. "

Mythen's eyes lit up with delight and intently listened. He was interested to learn more of the legendary relics created by the four cosmic beings.

" Ah! " he happily beamed and snapped his fingers. " The old school act of mayhem and destruction is it? So, you want them for that? Hmmm, perhaps, I can help you..."

" Now, the four beings have created those... Space, Soul, Time, Reality, Power, and Mind. There are other six stones which they had created. "

Mythen again snapped his fingers banishing the table and snacks. Then, he snapped thrice in summoning a door.

" Perhaps, we should talk at my palace, " the young ruler suggested. " The wilderness is such a barbaric place to have good conversation."

" Good, " he nodded. Suddenly, one of his female servants appeared to the men who respectfully bowed. " My, Lord, we have found the location of the Power Stone. "

" Where? "

" Planet Xandar, in Andromeda Galaxy, " she answered.

" The seat of NOVA Empire, " he grinned. " Thank you, Proxima. "

The other two beings whispered among themselves causing Mythen to stare them down suspiciously. Both Richocheti and Valet cowered in fear as Thanos heavily sighed at them.
