Casper successfully picked me up at the hospital and drove me to my apartment. After we got inside it, I fixed us a fresh cup of coffee as I tried to explain my not so elaborate plan.

"Are you sure about what you just told me?" Casper asked. I could hear the stings of wariness in his voice as he started playing with his mug.

I nodded in approval before speaking: "Yes, I'm sure. Can you please take care of Lady and Mr Cat while I'm there? Unfortunately, I can't take them with me."

"Yes, I will. When do you plan to leave?" Casper said before looking up from his cup of coffee.

I was already packing all my needed belongings into the most spacious suitcases I have. While I was busy choosing between winter or summer clothes or even both, I spoke: "The train leaves in about three hours."

Unsure of his own words, he spoke: "I know that I'm annoying as hell, but can you please explain to me what are you going to do by going there?"

"No, Casper, you are not annoying, just a little bit too worried for me. By going there, I'm going to taste the freedom that I lost here by meeting those two," I said as I looked up at him from the pile of clothes.

"Okay, I get it. You want freedom and all that shit, but you can't just leave," Casper said while using a little bit too many body moves and gestures.

I chuckled at his silly state and replied: "It's not like something is holding me here. My love life-shattered into a million pieces, my work environment has been a mess since Peter took over, and I think my two beautiful pets deserve a better owner than me. It's why my plan right now is to pack everything up. While you are taking Mr Cat and Lady to your place, I'm going to write the letter of resignation that I hope you will give Peter in my name. And then I will go on the next train to Italy. Simple as that," I said as I looked up at him from the two suitcases.

"Okay, That's not a really elaborate plan. It's more like running away from your problem plan rather than confronting them. The next question that comes to my mind it's, where are you going to stay? Why Italy of all the fucking countries in this world?" Casper asked, on the verge of having a panic attack.

I placed the floral shirt into the most spacious suitcase and sat on the chair facing Casper. "A couple of years ago, I bought a small apartment in Milan while we were on a business trip there. The goal of that apartment was to provide me with extra money by putting it out for rent, and that worked until now. For the last three months, I haven't got any rental requests, so I'm going to move there," I explained while covering my nervousness with a fake smile.

"Okay, Ella. But why are you going away? You have a well-paid job, two pets that love you, a coworker that you can only dream of, by the way, that's me," he explained as if everything is so easy to understand.

I took a deep breath before speaking: "At first I went with the flow, about getting marked and living with Tom. Because I had the mindset that I would get my normal life back, but I didn't. I started liking Tom and the way he treated me. That was the reason why I started to get more curious about who and what he is. Yes, he made me know from the start that there will be nothing between us, but I still hoped that there would be something. Every time he showed me a type of affection that a lover does and I embraced it, he rejected me with the same lame excuse. I even gave him the chance to fix all that, but he didn't. He walked away as if nothing happened. And what happened with Peter today gave me the confirmation that I must get out of their radar as soon as possible. Because they don't see me as Ella, but Clara. They still haven't gotten over their past love, and they think that rejecting me or projecting her image as me it's going to fix everything. These two need to have a serious talk that their pride won't let them have. That's why I'm getting out of their radar. It's why I'm going to Italy. I want to start from scratch somewhere where nobody knows me."
