I know it's been a year since I updated. And if anyone is an actual fan of my book, I sincerely apologize. I've been busy, writer's block sucks, and the Coronavirus kicked my ass.
But I thought I owed you an explanation.
A few months ago, I realized that this story wasn't going anywhere. I either didn't flesh it out enough before starting, or didn't focus on finishing the book first before revising it and THEN sharing it in a public platform. I basically found myself revising the same 10 chapters over and over and over again. So I realized that it was time to retire this idea. I am going to reuse the characters from this one in another story - some of which I never actually introduced - but I'm sure I'm not going to pick this one up again at least until I'm a better writer, which I'm sure would be years.
So, yeah. I'm really sorry if you were super emotionally invested in this, but I honestly think it was the best thing for my productivity. I might end up publishing my story somewhere, maybe even here, but I've also kind of fallen out of love with Wattpad. It was a great thing for me a few years ago, but now it's not. And that's ok. I'm going to republish the finished chapters so people can enjoy them, but that's the end. I hope you all have a wonderful day :)
P.S. I'm pretty sure I never published this chapter, but I ended up having someone commission something for one of my characters. (It was @am_i_really_that_noncreative on Instagram; go check them out!) I never introduced him, but his name is Viper, and he's a Fluvi-Aquamag assassin who also happens to be the Shifter. The picture is linked above.
