CAROLINE EYES WIDEN in shock, as her best friend's lips touched hers. slowly, she kissed back the feeling of their lips together just right.

the two kissed for a couple of seconds; both bright red after pulling away. "i- i kissed you..." the frantzich boy breathes out, shocked of his recent action.

phelps giggles a little, a small smile forming on her face. the time was getting a little later; the sky starting to darken. "you want to kiss again?" jonah finds himself asking, surprised by himself.

shortly after his words, the caramel haired girl attaches her soft lips onto his again. the two teens kiss, jonah slowly pulling her closer to him. his hands slip around her waist - making them feel more like a couple.

caroline kisses the frantzich boy more, wrapping her arms around his neck; her fingers grabbing pieces of his hair to hold onto. the kiss was sweet though, the type of kiss you would expect to resemble a 'first kiss'.

although, it wasn't either one of the teens first kisses. but, it just felt right. given the choice, it didn't seem like either teen would pull away. they loved each other - even if they didn't actually know it.

finally, jonah pulls away a big smile on his face. the carlson girl smiles back, resting her forehead against his. "that was pretty good roth," his second middle name rolling perfectly off her tongue.

"this whole nigh has been," he smiles, his eyes slightly light up. the carlson girl puts her head on his chest just enjoying the night. "i missed you phelps..." jonah whispers, playing with the younger girl's waves.

melting in his embrace, caroline ophelia smiles and feels her cheeks redden at his whisper. "i missed you more roth," her eyes open again and before going into the car, she gives the older boy a small peck.

getting into the car, the nineteen year old tried to process what just happened between him and his favorite girl. this was new for them. the actions that just previously happened; ones neither could have ever imagined happening between them.

after all, they were only each other's best friends. maybe this was just practice for when they go off and have their own actual relationships. like caroline with hunter, and jonah with some other girl. maybe the moment between them meant nothing.

deep down though, it did mean something. but, they didn't realize it. jonah put on his seatbelt and put his car keys into the ignition and started to drive back home. caroline looked out the window, nervous to look at her best friend due to the kiss they shared.

she knew that she couldn't have a boy distracting her right now but, instead of none - the seventeen year old girl had two boys on her mind.

the drive home was a little quiet but, jonah and caroline didn't care. their silence was all the noise they needed. the frantzich boy knew at this point that his best friend meant something more to him but, he was scared to ask her out.

their friendship meant everything to him and the tall brunette was afraid that if they dated but, then things didn't work out; their friendship would be lost forever. on the other side of their friendship - caroline was also nervous.
