Izuku pov
I ran and ran and ran until I was in an unfamiliar part of town, and even then I didn’t stop.

The only reason I did stop was due to an overwhelming pain in my legs. It felt like the bones were being broken and splintered apart with every step. I finally crashed into an alleyway and sat against the wall.

The pain in my legs became unbearable and it took everything I had to not start screaming. I could feel myself begin to tire, the events of the day hitting me full force.

Coupled with the pain and trauma of the day I began sobbing, surprised it took this long.

I murdered someone.

I ate someone.

I’m a monster.

I slowly opened my eyes and let out a yawn.

“That was a terrible nightmare, it felt so real.”

“That wasn’t a dream, idiot.”

I let out the most inhuman shriek and promptly fell off the bed. Strangely though, my knees didn’t touch the ground even though I face planted onto the ground. It felt like they were in the air.

I rolled over onto my back and now my knees were painfully pushed against the concrete floor.

‘Okay...I’m severely freaked out.’

“Uhm sir? If you’re even still in here, what’s happened to my legs?”

All that I got in return was a shrill laugh.

“That’s not the only thing that’s changed. Why don’t you turn around and take a look in that mirror.”

I nodded my head and sat up. I could see that I was still in my school uniform, though now it’s been ripped to shreds at the legs and covered in blood. I stood up on shaky legs, attempted a step, and I nearly fell. So now I’m using the wall as a crutch.

I could hear the man stifle laughter at my antics but I paid him no mind. I could tell that I was taller, but when I made it to the mirror, I didn’t even fully fit in it!

I reached a hand down to roll up the pant leg to my thigh. I could see a little of what my new leg looked like but hoped I was only hallucinating. I looked into the mirror and froze in fear. My legs no longer looked like normal human legs, they were inverted at the knee. I hesitantly looked lower and saw that my feet now resembled that of a raptor.

The blood began to pound in my ears. My heart thudded against my rib cage, trying to escape. My vision tunneled and my newly clawed hands began to shake.

‘I-I… that’s not me…no, no no no no! That’s not me!’

My hands began to rip at my hair, claw at my throat, I couldn’t breathe! I can’t breathe!

I didn’t even notice the hands trying to remove my claws from my throat. I didn’t notice the blood dribbling down my head and neck.

That.

Wasn’t.

Me.

The soft summer breeze kissing my skin woke me from my slumber. I opened my eyes to be met with the calming landscape of a forest. The trees bent and swayed in the wind, creating a charming rustling.

I sat up and was happy to find my legs back to normal. I was surprised to find that I was no longer in my shredded uniform. I was now in a flowing white dress, which was immensely soft. I got up and began walking around, the soft grass tickling my bare feet.
