Chapter 1 The Unknown Substance

I found something blinking on the radar, I called for General Wade: General I think I found something. The General thanked me and ordered a squadron of soldiers and scientists to mobilize a base to the coordinates on the radar. Before I could leave, I heard a voice: James wait! It was my wife and two kids. My wife's name is Jessica and my two kids Mark and Ben. They had come to say good bye. I gave them each a hug and left in the military chopper to the coordinates.

The location was in a barren desert in the middle of Arizona. We set up base right above the location where it was blinking. We had a open courtyard right in the middle so that way we wouldn't damage whatever we picked up on the radar. We were supplied with things that were just to survive. It wasn't comfortable but at least we could survive off of it. We got ready to settle in for the night. We are going to work tomorrow at o five hundred hours, I announced. Then a soldier came in, I was curious because he had three dog tags instead of one. "Why do you have three dog tags", I asked. He replied: "Two of them are my parents, they both were in the military. But one day they were ambushed, they didn't survive". I am sorry I didn't m... It's okay he said. Have a good night soldier , you too colonel. Then i finally got to bed,
drifting away in nightmares.
