"Asta!" Yuno yelled as he opened his eyes, Mimosa magic finally taking effect. "Thank the spirits!" Y/n sighed in relief hearing his breathing come back to life. "Ow ow ow" Asta whimpered as he slowly leaned up to see everyone, his eyes staying on y/n. "You're pretty tough Aster" y/n said with a weak smile. "The only thing he's ever had going for him is that he's built tough" Yuno said in the background. The wound he had received when escaping the dungeon had completely disappeared thanks to Mimosa's magic but he still looked incredibly worn out. "I'm not going to die before I become magic emperor" Asta said while smiling at Yuno. "Yeah you'll be alive to see ME crowned as emperor" Yuno replied back returning the smile. "Wouldn't it be funny if I became magic emperor" y/n said sarcastically.

"Y-you guys..". The three were soon wrapped in a suffocating hug by klaus as he said "I'M SORRY". "Uhh..." y/n croaked, his face pressed against Klaus's chest. "I'm sorry for judging you all based off of your upbringing, you're all proud members of the magic knights". "I guess I forgive you" y/n mumbled. "This isn't the weather for this" Yuno said while turning his head away from the affection. "Ow, ow, ow" Asta whimpered as he shifted around in the hug.

"Finally.. we can head home" y/n sighed in relief.

The four black bulls climbed into a cart taking a seat across from each other. Slowly the cart started moving, heading closer to the black bulls base but it would be at least a few hours before they got there. "Today was so much fun!" Luck said with smile. "Today was the longest day of my life" y/n sighed while resting his head back. "Tell me about it" Asta groaned while rubbing the spot of his wound to soothe it. "Don't die Asta, you're supposed to give a report back to Yami!" Noelle yelled. "I just need more herbs" Asta said while stuffing some plant into his mouth.

An hour or so into the ride two of the black bulls had already fallen asleep, resting their heads on few soft hay stacks. Y/n yawned while sitting up straight. "Its funny when you talk in your sleep" Asta spoke softy. "Aren't you tired? You had it the worst today" y/n replied back matching his soft tone so they wouldn't wake up their teammates. "I'm in too much pain to sleep in a moving cart" Asta groaned, yawning loudly a few seconds later. "Maybe you should rest your head on my lap" Y/n spoke jokingly, subtlety reminding his friend of their night as kids. Asta obviously didn't take it as a joke as seconds later y/n felt the pressure of his friends head on his lap. "Ah that is much better" Asta said with a smile. Y/n tensed up slightly but didn't do anything else to discourage the boy of nestling into his lap and falling into a deep sleep a few minutes later. I might as well.. he's asleep anyway. Y/n raised his hand, hesitantly dragging his fingers through his friends soft hair. It still felt just the same as it had a few years ago, y/n didn't think he'd ever get the opportunity to do something like this again after running away. "Mmm.." Asta groaned in his sleep, shifting around slightly. Y/n frowned slightly, wishing now more than ever than he had his eyesight to see the cute expression that no doubt was covering Asta's sleeping face. After thirty long minutes of being stuck in that position the cart slowly halted to a stop. "This is your stop, good luck magic knights" the driver spoke, patiently waiting for them to get off. Asta slowly lifted his head, rubbing his tired green eyes. "I need my bed now!" He announced making the other two bulls stir awake.

The four bulls walked to the base, Asta had his arm over Y/n's shoulder as they walked, a pained expression covering his face. "I told you that magic wouldn't work, I should have just ate more herbs" Asta groaned out. "I think you just need some sleep, stop being a baby" Noelle said with a yawn. "Hurry up and heal Asta, so we can fight tomorrow!" Luck said while shaking his shoulder. They walked into the base together, it was almost pitch black without the lights on. You could only see the dark outlines of the furniture of in the room from the moon's light. "I guess everyone's asleep" Noelle said while lighting a candle, bringing some light into the room. "Okay, goodnight guys!" Luck said a too loudly for three in the morning. He then before disappeared into the darkness of the base. "I had extra candles" Noelle said while extending one out to Y/n. "He stresses me out" Y/n sighed while taking the light from her. "I'm going to sleep now, do you need help getting Asta to his room?" She asked with her free hand on her hip. "We got this, right y/n?" Asta said with a smile. "Y-yeah, we'll manage".

Y/n practically dragged Asta through the halls, all the way to his room. Asta pushed the door open with his foot and the two made their way to his bed, y/n gently setting him down into it. "Goodnight Asta, you can keep the candle since I don't need it" Y/n said before turning to walk away. "Don't go"

Y/n froze in place, slowly turning to face his friend. "Why not? I'm tired too" y/n said while tilting his head slightly. "I.. just want you to stay here with me". "I guess I can stay until you fall asleep" y/n mumbled slightly. Y/n was about to sit on a chair when we felt his wrist gripped lightly. "We both know I want you to cuddle with me".

Y/n felt light headed hearing that, his words came out unfiltered "I'd love that". Y/n felt his cheeks heat up beyond belief he definitely knows Both males blushed heavily unused to these kinda situations. "Y/n.. I think that I love you" Asta stated bluntly. Y/n's breath hitched "You're seriously going to make me have a heart attack Aster". "Please don't!" Asta begged. "I love you too Asta" y/n managed to get out. "No! Not just I love you! I'm in love with you, and I think about you all the time!" Asta yelled. "Okay Asta me too, but everyone in the base in gonna hear you!". Asta covered his mouth, slowly nodding. Y/n felt like he was going to pass out, and Asta wasn't fairing much better. "Hurry up and lay down with me" Asta yawned out. "This is a lot to digest, be patient" y/n mumbled. Y/n crawled into bed beside Asta. "You're small" y/n tiredly said, wrapping his arms around the other male. "I don't have to the...energy to.. yell, just go to sleep".
"Okay goodnight" "Goodnight" Asta tiredly responded.
