As morning came y/n quickly freshened up before moving to the door to leave his room, stopping with his hand on the knob as a large amount of mana slowly came closer. He pulled the door open and stepped out to be greeted with "Who the hell are you?" By a female voice, "y/n, what's your name?" He asked. "Noelle" she spoke bluntly. "Noelle, your voice gives me a headache" y/n stated simply. "Like I care how you feel" Noelle brushed off the comment. Y/n shook his head and walked off not caring to continue the conversation further. "W-where are you going, i'm not done talking to you?!" The girl screeched. "Well I am" Y/n said while covering his ears. "I'm royalty, you can't just walk away!" She called out. "Watch me!" Y/n replied ignoring the girls further comments.

It was still very early so almost none if the bulls were awake, y/n still had at least an hour of peace before the chaos returned. He walked through the room using his boot to feel for anything in front of him until he reached the bar, taking a seat at an empty stool. It was honestly a little off putting when it was quiet in the base, he could hear the sounds of the walls withering away, shifting positions but no fighting or screaming. Y/n felt his hand brush by a cold hard object, a half full bottle of alcohol. Y/n didn't understand why people loved the liquid so much. He lifted the bottle taking a small swig of the bitter tasting drink. "It's a little early for drinking, isn't it?". Y/n lifted his head saying "G-good morning Captain, I was just.. trying it". Yami smiled slightly, moving the stool next to y/n. "Well if you're morning drinking I might as well join you" The captain spoke, taking the bottle and chugging what was left of it. "Yami.." y/n spoke. The man side glanced at y/n raising an eyebrow. "You know something about my dad, don't you.." The boy spoke, circling his finger around an empty glass. Yami opened another bottle taking a long drink then saying "Only a little bit". "Will you tell me those things?" Y/n asked hopefully. "Alright but first, tell how you lost your eyesight" Yami replied. The young male tensed up slightly, the memories flashing in his mind. "If you're ready" the captain added. The boy took a deep breath before saying "Me and my mother were attacked when I was very young, he used some kind of poison magic on us. She died that night and my eyesight never came back". Yami nodded slowly, taking in the information before asking "What would you do if that man were here today?". Y/n clenched his fists, the emotions in his body boiling. "I'd kill him". Yami nodded, closing his eyes as he said "Your father seems to be conspiring against the clover kingdom, but we're not sure why" ". "So he didn't just leave.. he wants to destroy our home". Y/n asked. "I don't know kid, you might not figure it out until you confront him in person" the captain said while shaking his head. "Do you know where he is?". "The spade kingdom". Y/n eyes widened slightly and he rubbed his chin, trying to think of a way to reach there without being killed immediately. "You'd better not think about running off there yet, we'll hunt you down and drag you back" Yami stated while taking another sip. "O-of course not". Y/n stood up and made his way towards the front door. "Where are you going?" The captain asked, not to take his eyes off the bottle in front of him. "Just for some fresh air".

Y/n stepped outside into the early morning sun, smiling constantly at the feeling against his skin. "GOOD MORNING Y/N". The boy yelped loudly, tripping back and falling against Asta's chest. "Don't sneak up on me, you know I can't tell when you're coming " y/n complained. "Hahah sorry y/n I forgot!" Asta said while pushing y/n back onto his feet. "Did you wake up early to train too!?" He asked excitedly, "No, I like waking up early so I can feel the sun come up" Y/n explained. "I remember you used to do that at the orphanage now that you mention it!". "Speaking of the orphanage... is father okay? And sister Lily?" Y/n asked hesitantly. Asta smiled brightly and nodded "They're fine but...they really really missed you after you disappeared, everyone did!". Y/n frowned slightly staying quiet as he tucked his hands into his pockets. "You're gonna come visit Hage won't you?" Asta asked, hope present in his tone. "I-i.. don't you think everyone is going to hate me?" Y/n replied nervously. "I'm not sure y/n, but I know they'll be relieved to see you alive". Y/n nodded slowly and stepped toward, heading away from the base. "Y-y/n where are you going?. Asta walked to match the other male's pace. "You wanted to train right?" "Yes!" Asta spoke excitedly. The two stopped at a short distance from the base. "So what's first?" Y/n asked while rolling the sleeves of his shirt up. "Let's warm up with 1000 push ups!" Asta said hyping himself up. "W-warm up.."

The other bulls started to wake up one by one, greeting the captain as they joined the others in the room. "Where are the new guys?" Finral asked while taking a seat beside the captain. "Outside somewhere" Yami replied simply. Vanessa and Finral crammed together to look outside of a window at the two boys while they trained. Asta was rapidly doing pushups while y/n struggled to keep up at his pace. "Aren't they cute" Vanessa gushed. "That's weird, they were fighting just y-." Finral was interrupted as Luck zoomed by knocking him away from the window. "Fighting! I want to fight!" He spoke excitedly before zapping outside. They watched as Luck tackled y/n as he stood up to dust himself off only to be downed immediately. "Poor guy.." Finral winced.

"I think I'm gonna take a bre-." Y/n was interrupted by Luck slamming into him. The two crashing to the dirt breath them. "Ughh.." y/n groaned, pushing against the sparky mass of mana currently on top of him. "Hey new guy! I'm Luck Voltia!" He greeted in an oddly cheerful tone. "Luck Senpai please be careful!" Asta said while jumping onto his feet. "He's fine, look at him!" Luck replied, grabbing y/n by the shirt and pulling him back up. "Nice to meet you too.." y/n strained out. "Do you wanna fight!?" Luck asked excitedly. "A little bit, I'm not gonna lie" y/n replied, scowling slightly. "Yayyyy let's st-." "Spirit Magic: Phoenix". Luck cackled as a large bird grabbed him by the cloak, shooting him off into the air with two quick flaps of its giant wings. "Woah me next!" Asta said while bouncing excitedly. "Alright you all stop playing around! come inside so we can chat!" Yami called out. "Maybe later.."
