Sienna was eager to make it to her locker unnoticed, but she could only slink down the hallway for so long until her three best-friends barrelled down the hallway to embrace her in a bone-crushing hug. She hadn't seen them in ages as their parents always took them on fancy international trips over the summer.

"Hey guys! It feels like ages since I've seen you" she giggles as they pull away.

"I know right!" Lila says excitedly, flipping her straw blonde hair over her shoulders. Her pale eyes lit up as she remembered something. "Wait what classes are you guys in?".

Talia and Renée looked at each other with a worried glance. Over the summer they had managed to gain acess to the school servers and had already checked what classes everyone was in. Talia quickly passed out their schedules, sighing sadly.

"Someone's not going to like theirs," Renée murmured softly.

Sienna looked up at the raven-haired girl with small tears in her eyes. She wasn't in any of their classes and she couldn't help but think of all the fun they were going to have without her whilst she would have to sit alone. She continued to blankly stare down at the paper, ignoring her friend's apologetic condolences as she tried her hardest not to cry.

"I-I need to go to homeroom," she muttered bitterly as she pushed past them and back into the busy corridor. She knew it wasn't their fault, but she had been really looking forward to this year and spending as much time with her mates as she could before things started to get too serious. It wasn't long before she was at the same boring beige locker she had the honour of shoving her bag and books into year after year, taking the time to aggressively stick-up photos on her locker wall. She was so engrossed in her thoughts that she didn't sense it when someone come up behind her and tapped her on the shoulder.

She spun around quickly with wide eyes but relaxed when she found herself staring into those beautiful diamond eyes that had been haunting her dreams for what seemed like forever.

"I hope I didn't startle you" Josh said tentatively. Sienna shook herself back to her senses.

"N-no it's fine, I-I just wasn't paying attention that's all". She cursed herself for stammering. Get your act together Sienna.

"Right ... I just wanted to give you this," Josh said, shoving a small marvellous creations bar into her hand. "It's a little something just to say thank you for helping me with the magpie chick and ... yeah". He ran his fingers through his hair awkwardly, he didn't even know whether she liked marvellous creations. When the silence continued he silently cursed to himself, but just as he was about to walk away he felt a pair of arms wrap around him. And there it was again, the wonderful popping feeling behind his eyes.

"I love marvellous creations! How did you know?" he heard Sienna exclaim.

"Lucky guess?" he said, pulling away.

"You really didn't have to, you're the one who looked after it!" Sienna said, pushing the chocolate back into his hands worriedly. "I don't deserve this."

"Shut up, of course you do" he said, grinning even wider. He would have stood happily gazing into her eyes for eternity if it hadn't been for the warning bell.

"Shoot," Sienna muttered. "What classes do you have?"

"Um, Homeroom 2, English, Maths A, French A then double history. You?" he recited. Sienna looked down at her sheet, staring at an exact replica of his schedule.

"No way, me too!" she said happily, before smirking. "Maths A, huh? Never knew you were a nerd!"

"Hey, I could say the same thing about you, you're in the same class!" he teased.
