Chapter 3

The Guard were walking back to the last Moja Kwa Moja stone, it was a silent aura to say the least, everyone was worried for Kion, or almost everyone, Bunga only came
with them because he didn't have a choice. Fuli began to get worried when they had walked for a while and still not met him.

When they finally arrived Fuli was optimistic to find Kion. But her smile faded quickly when they realized he wasn't here.

"Anga, check if you can see him from above." Fuli said and you could hear how nervous she was.

Anga took a quick look in the sky, but she didn't see anything, she flew down to the others and shook her head.

"Nothing."

Fuli looked like she didn't even know what to do.

"Fuli, let's search for a few hours, he can't just have disappeared." Beshte said comforting.

"Yeah, you're right." Fuli nodded thankfully. Then they started the search.

"Well, Kion, we're here." Oscar said and stopped the red supercar, they were on a small dirt road, to their right they had a mountain chain.

"See that mountain pass over there? On the other side of it you'll find The Tree Of Life." He continued.

"Alright then, well, thanks, and goodbye." Kion smiled.

"Goodbye, Kion." Oscar said and opened the passenger door. Kion stepped out and watched the Ferrari drive away. Then he headed into the pass. It felt so weird being so far ahead of his friends. He hadn't even thought about his friends, but now he felt the anger bloom inside him, he was so furious that he could...

No, easy, Kion, you didn't come this far only to cause problems. He thought to himself. And breathe... He continued to walk through the pass. But he quickly got stopped by four lions.

"STOP!!!" One of them snapped. She seemed to be the leader.

"Ok, ok, I'm sorry." Kion told them in a tone that said calm down, the lion seemed to ease up a bit, but were still sceptical.

"Who are you, and where do you come from?" She asked.

"My name's Kion, and I've come here to treat my scar." Kion said. The lioness looked at him with contempt.

"Treat a scar? That's the most stupid thing I've ever heard." She scoffed. Kion felt disgusted of her way treating strangers.

"Say that again, I dare you." Kion growled.

"hah, says the one who's all alone." The lioness said and let out a scornful laughter.

"You don't know what happened to me." Kion mumbled and gave her an evil eye.

"No but seriously, if you want to treat your scar, The Tree Of Life is a little wrong place, this is only for serious injuries." She laughed.

"This is more serious than you think, but sure, I'll leave, but mark my words when I say that you're making the situation worse for us all." Kion growled and turned around.

"Wait, what caused your scar?" One of the lionesses asked all of a sudden.

"Snakebite, cobra." Kion mumbled. The lioness got a serious look all of a sudden, she whispered something to the leader.

"Alright, we'll help you." The leader lioness said, Kion turned around.

"Great." He answered. Then he made his way into the Tree Of Life with the other lions.

"Well, Fuli, what can I say? He's not here." Bunga said, he seemed to be extremely thankful for it.

"Fuck you, Bunga, it's your fault he isn't." Fuli snapped.

"What? Everyone went calmly with me last night, I think it's everyone's fault." Bunga smiled but got pinned to the ground by a furious cheetah.

"BUNGA!!! I AM THIS CLOSE TO SLASH YOUR FUCKING THROAT, SO IF YOU'RE SMART FOR ONCE YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!" Fuli yelled. Then she kind of regretted her death threat, she sat down in enbarrassment as she flattened her ears, she felt Beshte leaning against her as she started to cry, again.

"Don't you worry, Fuli, even if we won't find him, I'm sure he's gonna be okay, he's Kion, after all."

"I just want him back, I've never asked for anything before, I just want my friend back." Fuli cried, her eyes met Bungas', he gave her a dead eye.

"And what are you staring at?" She snapped, Bunga didn't answer, he just started going, as well as the rest of the guard, they lost two days and their friend, this couldn't get any worse now.
