"Goodmorning, Rani." Kion said as he met Rani at the waterhole a couple of days later.
"Morning, Kion." Rani smiled.
"I would need to talk to you, do you have time?" Kion asked.
"Maybe later, we have a patient ready for healing now." Rani responded.
"Oh, okay." Kion responded. Then he went on to the River Of Patience, Rani however went to the Tree, it was time to heal Ono now. The guard were already at the Tree waiting for Rani.
"Morning, Rani." Beshte smiled.
"Morning, Beshte." Rani returned the smile. She chuckled a bit when she saw Ono.
"Someone looks happy."
"I'm finally getting my vision back." Ono laughed, though the happy atmosphere, Fuli couldn't feel it, she could only think about Kion. Where was he now? if they ever found him again, would he be mad? The others didn't notice it luckily so she just pretended like nothing, so they went inside the tree.
"Greetings, Lion Guard." Queen Jana smiled.
"Ono, ready to get your vision back?" Nirmala asked.
"Of course." Ono laughed.
The healing began, when Nirmala and Jana were done Ono fell asleep.
"He will be out for a few hours now." Jana said, earning a nod from the guard, first now Rani reckognized something with the guard.
"That mark..." Rani said as she studied Fuli's shoulder. Fuli shrugged.
"It's just my Lion Guard mark, why?"
"Nah, nothing, it's just that our other patient have that mark on his shoulder as well." Rani shrugged, however, Fuli's eyes widened.
"Wha-? Where is he?" She asked.
"At the river of patience, but don't go to him, he needs focu... And she’s already gone." Rani said as she saw Fuli run out of the tree.
"Ugh, will there ever come any log?" Kion sighed, he had been waiting for days, yet no sign of a log. He sighed and laid down, he didn't get how this was supposed to help him?" He was tired as well, several sleepless nights since his friends left him behind.
"Kion!" He heard a happy voice shout that he reckognized too well. Fuli stopped right in front of him.
"Kion, I thought I'd never see you again." Fuli tried to hug him, but he avoided her, Fuli tilted her head in confusion.
"Are you that happy to see me? Cause I promise, I'm not." Kion growled.
"Kion, I know this looks bad but I swear it's not how you think it is." Fuli tried to explain.
"I don't want to hear your probably petty excuses." Kion scoffed. Fuli got struck hard by Kion's words.
"But I... I..." Fuli swallowed, she was close to crying. Then a brown lioness approached them.
"Kion, what did you want to talk abo... Everything okay here?" Rani asked when she saw the angry face on Kion and Fuli's sad eyes.
"Everything's fine." Kion lied. But Rani didn't believe him for a second.
"It was a rhetorical question, no one of you are okay, what's wrong?"
"Well, Rani, imagine you're far away from home with your friends and they just abandon you, you don't know the way to your destination, nor the way back home, that's what's wrong." Kion explained. Rani turned to Fuli with a raised eyebrow.
"Fuli? Is that true?"
"*Sigh* Yes, it is." Fuli flattened her ears in embarrassment even though she did nothing wrong.
"You see? She’s even admitting it." Kion scoffed.
"But it wasn't on purpose." Fuli filled in.
"Bullshit, tell me, how do you leave your friend behind on accident? Or you know what? Don't even answer that question." Kion growled.
"But Kion..." Fuli tried.
"Fuck this if you guys are here, I'm going back home." Kion cut off, then started running towards the mountain pass.
"But Kion, you're not fully healed yet!" Rani shouted after him.
"It's alright, I got him." Fuli said and ran after him. Kion sped past the tree making the guard go after him as well, Kion knew Fuli was way faster than him so his strategy was basically to run in zick zack.
"Ugh, he's just as annoying as Makucha..." Fuli murmured, then she realized what she said.
"As Makucha... Alright, Kion, let's see if you get away from me now." Fuli said as she carefully calculated when to pin Kion. And there, she pinned him down, right next to a road. She locked eyecontact with him.
"Please, Kion, just listen to me." Fuli begged.
"Forget it, just let me go." Kion snapped, when Fuli didn't listen he took the thing in his own paws and freed himself, at this point the rest of the guard had catched up. In the next second they heard an engine, a very deep growling engine, and a Ferrari 488 stopped at the roadside. The driver window rolled down.
"Hey, Kion, what are the odds of seeing you here? Need a ride somewhere?" The driver said.
"Away from them." Kion nodded towards his "friends".
"Alright, get in, quick." Oscar said as he opened the passenger door, but before Kion had time to step inside Fuli blocked the door.
"Kion, I beg you, if you could only listen for a second..." But Kion didn't care, instead he pushed her away from the car and entered, then he quickly shut the door and Oscar drove away. Fuli turned to Bunga, her eyes were burning of anger.
"What have you done?" Fuli hissed, making Bunga shiver.
"I said... WHAT THE FUCK HAVE YOU DONE!?!" She raged, then started chasing Bunga. She pinned him. Bunga looked into Fuli's eyes, this wasn't anger, this was bloodlust.
"IMA KILL YOU, YOU HEAR THAT!?!" Fuli reached for his throat but got dragged away from him.
"FULI!!! SNAP OUT OF IT!!!" She heard Beshte's voice. Fuli stopped instantly, she just stood and breathed heavily, like she had just run thirty laps around Pride Rock. Then she had a total breakdown, she leaned against Beshte and cried.
"So, Fuli, let it all out." Beshte said kindly with nothing better to say.
