Trigger warning: homophobic slurs!
"Jeon Jungkook, your visitors are here." The man called from outside of the gate and I hurried towards him. He was standing in front of a door which led to a room where people could talk to their loved ones. I shook slightly as he unlocked it, noticing five other inmates and their visitors inside.
I immediately ran towards my dad, bringing him into a hug as he held me tightly. My eyes wandered around, curious about where Taehyung was. I stayed quiet, not wanting to seem rude or make my dad feel like I wasn't happy to see him, but he caught on straight away. "They split the time in half, Taehyung's coming in after me." He chuckled.
I sighed in relief, an airy laugh leaving my lips. "I missed you so much dad." The two of us sat down on our table, smiling brightly as we looked at one another.
"I've missed you too Kook. How's prison?" He asked, a guilty look on his face.
"Jolly. I just love it here." I laughed, sarcasm laced in my voice. My dad kept a smile on his face, but I could tell there was sadness in his eyes.
"How are mom and Somi?" I asked.
"Your mom...I think you two need to talk the next visiting day." He sighed, watching as my smile fell.
"Oh."
"But Somi's devastated, she's been sleeping in your room." I smiled at his words, missing my little sister even more now. "But this isn't about us. How have you been, Jungkook? Be honest." My dad continued.
"It's been really tiring..both physically and emotionally. But it's worth it, I don't regret anything."
"I promise i'll get you out of here. Me and my employees have been working day and night, trying to find a way to reduce your sentence." He sighed, and I believed him. Truth is, my dad was a mess. His under-eyes were dark and the bags beneath them stood out more prominently. Not to mention how he looked skinnier than i've ever seen him, his suit looking too large on him.
"Dad. Don't be too hard on yourself. I'll be alright here, all I want is for you guys to be happy and healthy." He frowned at my response.
"Why can't you just be mad at me like a normal son. I-I promised you that you wouldn't step a foot in jail but....I failed to protect you." His head fell as he tried to hold in his tears.
"I'm not mad at you and I would never be. It was my decision to do what I did and now i'm facing the consequences." I immediately placed a hand on his back, my heart aching as I watched my dad cry for the first time in my life.
He quickly pulled himself together, wiping his tears away before placing his hand on my arm.
"I promise you-"
"Mr Jeon Jaehee your time is up." A guard from inside called out, interrupting him. The two of us sighed and we stood up, hugging each other once more.
"I promise you i'll find a way to get you out of here Jungkook." He gave me one last squeeze before leaving the room. Who knew time could go by so quickly.
I sat back down, waiting patiently. A few seconds later, in came the boy i'd been thinking about twenty-four-seven . As soon as I locked eyes with Taehyung, he froze, tears forming in his eyes as he saw me in my uniform. I chuckled softly, walking towards him and pulling him into a warm embrace.
I buried my face in the crook of his neck as he rested his against my chest, crying into it as my hand reached up to stroke his hair and leave soft kisses against his forehead. The inmates in the room noticed this and gave eachother dark glances. I knew what was coming as soon as I left this room but it didn't matter. All I wanted to do was make the most of my time with Taehyung.
I gently guided him to the table, sitting next to him instead of in front of him. My hand immediately found his, feeling at home. Taehyung looked up at me with teary eyes before placing a sorrowful kiss to my lips.
"I'm so sor-"
"Don't you dare say it." I interrupted him, sick of hearing the same thing over and over again. "There's nothing to be sorry about."
"Look at you, Jungkook." His lips quivered as he eyed me up and down. "You look exhausted and it's all because of me."
I sighed "Tae, look at me baby." My hand brought his chin up, his eyes peeling away from the ground "Remember what you told me at the hospital?"
He stopped to think for a moment before nodding slowly "Mhm."
"We shouldn't blame ourselves. I'm happy to be here." I smiled, moving closer to Taehyung "So how have you been?"
"The judge suggested therapy...So I've been doing that every week."
"That's amazing! I'm glad." I ducked to place a peck on his cheek, earning a giggle from him.
"Oh and I almost forgot!" His eyes lit up and he squeezed my hand in excitement "I went to get lunch with your dad."
"Really?" My heart swelled, feeling grateful that the two men I loved the most were getting along.
"Yes! He got to know me better and I think he likes me." Taehyung's smile was bright as his two hands held onto my arm.
"You think? He wouldn't stop talking about you after I said we were in a relationship." I chuckled "I'm glad you two are getting along."
"When you're released, we can go on a big dinner with your dad, sister and mo-" He stopped in his tracks "...Maybe just your sister and dad first."
"That sounds fantastic." I kissed his hand, feeling a little insecure "But you'll really wait for me?"
The question slipped out, Ive been trying to ignore it since I got here. That lingering fear that Taehyung would get bored and find somebody else. It had been eating me alive but I didn't want to show it.
Taehyung's face fell, his smile replaced with a serious expression. "Are you seriously asking me that?" He frowned.
"I-I don't know Tae.. Ive just been worried. You certainly deserve better than a convict boyfriend." My eyes moved towards my feet as I avoided Taehyung's gaze. His hand reached up to cup my face and the corners of my lips lifted upwards, loving the warmth of his touch that i've craved so much.
"Jeon Jungkook, I love you so much. There isn't anything in this world that could make me leave you." His thumb began to caress my cheek and I melted into the touch.
"I love you too, Taehyung." My hand snaked behind his waist and pulled him in for a deep kiss, trying to savor this moment as much as I could. Not caring about the consequences I would face when the inmates here told everyone outside what they saw.
"Mr Kim Taehyung." The guard startled us, causing me to pull away "Your time is over."

It felt depressing knowing that, once more, I had nothing to look forward to for another month. I sighed for the hundredth time today as I walked back to my cell, hands in my pockets.
"Jeon!" A rough voice yelled from inside the gym behind me. I continued walking, ignoring it. The same voice called out for me once more and I grunted, turning around. The same man from the showers earlier today was stood a few feet away from me, surrounded by his squad.
"You'll never guess what a little birdie told me today.." He walked towards me, the five equally muscular men following him.
I gulped, knowing exactly what he was talking about. He turned towards his friends "It told me that the new guy, Jeon, is a fag." They all burst into a fit of laughter, looking at one another with amused smiles.
"Yeah, and what about it?" I swallowed my fears and put on a confident expression. But before I could say anything else, a powerful punch landed on my face and the next thing I knew, my surroundings went dark.
