•Sams POV•
I walk in my house letting out a sigh of relief, "Sam!" I turned my head to the familiar voice. The dirty blonde hair girl runs over to me, I smiled and swooped her into my arms, "hi Sammy" she giggled. "Hey Cindy" I smiled and kissed her head.
Cindy is my niece but..when I found out my sister was a hooker. I was shocked, she would leave Cindy home alone while she went out and get fucked. One day I put my foot down and took Cindy in, she calls me Sammy since she has always called me that. "What did you all do today" I said as I walked her over to the couch. "Kat and I watched Barbie and she colored my hair pink see!" She said as she showed the end of her hair colored a pretty pink. "She did wonderful" I said. She smiled and shot her head towards the tv.
Suddenly my phone rang, I got up and walked to the counter. I looked at the ID and smiled, COLBY 💙
I answered it, "hello colby" I said with a small giggle. "Hi my lover boy" I smiled, "shouldn't you been in bed" I lend against the cold counter. "Yea but I wanted to hear you small voice" I rolled my eyes playfully.
"Whatever you say colby" I heard him chuckle, "hey uh..do you mind if I come over" I shot my head up at Cindy. She was watching the tv like usual, "uh yea but I-I.. I'm easing someone a-and I don't know how she would react"
"Sam listen..everything going to be fine trust me..and it's kinda cute that your easing a child" I smiled softly. "Thanks colby..but yea you can come over" I could hear the smile in his voice. "Alright I'll be there around 10" I shot my head up at the clock to see it being 9:43.
My eyes widen, "o-okay see you then!" I quickly hanged up and I rushed to my room, "Sammy?" I heard Cindy say. "J-just a sec Cindy! I'm getting dressed!" I yelled from the other room.
"B-but it's almost my bedtime" she yawned a bit, shit.
"Uh sammys having a friend over for a bit" I said as I put on a baggy shirt and some flannel pajama bottoms. "Oh?" She said.
I ran to the bathroom and did my hair and teeth, suddenly there was a knock on the door. "Wait Cindy do-!"
"Well hi there" I heard a voice, I gulped snd peaked my head out. There stood colby looking down at Cindy, he was wearing a nice black jacket with black jeans, and his hair was a bit curly.
I sighed and walked out of my room, "Sammy who's this?" I slowly looked up at colby, "well Cindy..this is colby..my boyfriend" her eyes widen a bit.
I bit her lip like she was mad, I watched as she walked over and wrapped her small arms around my waist. He laid her head against my stomach. "No!" She mumbled against my chest. Colby smiled, "someone a mama bird?" I laughed a bit as I picked her up, "cmon it's bed time Cindy" he huffed and laid her head on my shoulder.
I slowly took her to my room, "Sam.." she mumbled. "Yes Cindy" I said as I placed her in her bed. "Are you going to leave me.." my heart froze, I shot my head towards her. "Nono of course not what makes you say that" she sat up, he eyes were red like she was about to brush into tears.
I slowly sat on the bed, "I-I don't want you to end up like mommy.." tears were streaming down her cheeks. I quickly placed her on my lap and hugged her, she burst into tears as she gripped onto me, I held her closely.
"Easy..now..easy.." I whispered as I rocked her. She sniffed and held onto me more.
"Never in my life Cindy will I leave you..I'm going to protect you for the rest of my life..colby is going to as well..he's not going to take me away from you I promise.." I turned her head and looked up at me. I whipped her cheeks.
~Colbys POV~
I heard small cries, I furrowed my brows and got up from the couch, I made my way over to a small room, I looked to see Sam holding onto the small girl, "I-I don't what you to leave me.." she sniffed. My heart broke.
Sam looked up at me, I made my way over and sat on the other side of Cindy. "Hey.. it's okay..trust me I'm not taking Sam away from you trust me..he's a good guy..I'm just here to protect you both..I'm here to protect you Cindy" I smiled gently.
She smiled and hugged me, I froze in shocked for a few seconds. I smiled snd wrapped my arms around her, "cmon Cindy let's get some sleep.." Sam whispered.
"C-can you sleep with me for a bit" i looked up at Sam and nodded, "sure Cindy I will" Sam said as he got under the pink covers. She slowly crawled over and laid her head on his chest, "c-an colby stay to.." me and Sam looked up and smiled at each other. "Of course I can kiddo" I made my last over so Sam was sitting between my legs while Cindy laid on his chest. I wrapped my arms around his waist, he lend back and sighed happily. I watched as he slowly pushed the soft blond girls hair out of her eyes. They were closed, in her arm she held a small dirty pink bunny. Knowing she had it for decades.
"Your such a good parent Sammy.." I whispered and kissed his cheek, he smiled and looked up at me. "I never felt this happens since Cindy came and lived with me..it's hard" I played with hair, "I know..but how about I help you.." his eyes widen a bit. "Wait your serious.." I nodded, he bit his lip like he was going to cry. "I'm here to protect you two..don't worry.." he smiled and softly pecked my lips.
"Get some rest Sammy" he nodded and slowly closed his eyes, I smiled at the two and softly closed my eyes.
