12. Uncle Myles

Myles awoke with the sun shining bright in his eyes. He sat up and looked over at the couch he had in his room where Wilder was asleep. His red hair covered his bruised face. 

Myles frowned thinking of the events of the night before. He didn't want any of his friends to be hurt, sad, or afraid. 

Myles crawled out of bed and softly shook Wilder as an idea formed in his head. Wilder sat up and rubbed his eyes. "What is it?" he asked. "You wanna go back to Axl's?" Myles asked. Wilder smiled and nodded. "Alright let's go!" Myles said. 

"Hey, Myles," Wilder said as they neared Axl's house. "Yeah?" Myles asked. "Thanks for helping me. And I don't just mean this time," Wilder said. Myles smiled. "Anytime, Wilder," he said. Wilder smiled before he took off to Axl's house.

Myles walked back into the house and saw Kadyn and Izzy arguing and Katie was crying with a good-sized bruise on her cheek. Izzy stood in front of her. "She's a whore! And I won't tolerate my sister being a whore!" Kadyn said as he attempted to attack Katie again but she screamed and sobbed as she held her stomach. "Stop it! Kadyn!" Izzy yelled. "YOU'RE EIGHTEEN! GET THE FUCK OUT OF THIS HOUSE!" Kadyn walked upstairs to pack his stuff. 

Izzy turned to Katie and hugged her. "Wh-what am I going to do?" Katie asked. "You stay as long as you need," Izzy said kissing Katie's head. "Thanks, Dad," Katie said. 

"Wh-what's going on?" Myles asked finally. Katie broke away from Izzy and walked to her brother and hugged him. "Myles you're going to be an uncle," Katie said. Myles smiled. "That's great," he said. "Is Mike staying around?" Myles asked. 

Mike had been Katie's boyfriend for a few years now. He always had big plans to go to college and be a doctor. 

"Yeah, he's still going to college but after that, we'll move in together," Katie said. "Is it a boy or a girl?" Myles asked. "I don't know yet. I just found out. But if you want you can help us come up with names for the baby," Katie said. Myles smiled wider at the thought of being able to come up with names for his niece or nephew. But then he frowned remembering Kadyn. 

"What happened with Kadyn?" Myles asked. "Kadyn... Didn't take it too well that I was pregnant. I guess you heard some of what he said," Katie said. "And he hit you?" Myles asked. "Alright, Myles, that's enough questions. Let's let Katie rest," Izzy said.
