7. You're Alright

"How do you know what's good for him?! You're never here!" Axl yelled at Olivia. "Well, your his father and a rockstar, the judge will choose me over you!" Olivia yelled. "Wilder is fourteen! He's old enough to talk in court if he wants to!" Axl yelled. 

Wilder sat in his room crying at the sound of his parents fighting. Divorce was coming soon. And Olivia was determined to win. She didn't really care about Wilder. All she wanted was to make Axl's life hell. Like she's been doing since they met. 

When they met, Axl fell head over heels for Olivia and she acted as she loved him as well. But the truth still holds. She doesn't love him. All she wanted was his money. And they began to fight. Once, Axl packed his bags and tried to leave. But Olivia responded with, I'm pregnant. If you leave you're abandoning your child. Axl stayed. He stayed for Wilder. During the time Olivia was pregnant. She didn't go out and she stayed home. Axl fell in love again. And he loved her ever since. 

But recently he found out Olivia had been cheating on him with other men. Men who (While Axl was one tour) would hurt Wilder. Beat him and tell him not to tell Axl. And Wilder kept his mouth shut. Until one of them sexually assaulted him. And then, Wilder realized he had enough and he should've told Axl from the beginning. So he told him. It wasn't long after Wilder had told Axl that they both found out that Olivia was having a baby with the same man who hurt Wilder. 

Wilder crawled out of bed and jumped out the window. He went straight to Myles's house. He didn't have to tell him the reason he was there. He just had to say he wanted to hang out. Even though his tear-stained face might give everything away. 

Wilder threw rocks Myles's window and Myles answered. "Wilder?" he asked. "Hey," Wilder said. "What are you doing?" Myles asked. "You wanna hang out or something?" Wilder asked. "Sure, but why through my window?" Myles asked. "I felt like it," Wilder said. "Okay, I'm coming out," Myles said. 

A few moments answered Myles joined Wilder outside. "Are you okay, Wilder?" Myles asked. "Yeah, I'm fine," Wilder said as they began walking down the road. "Are you sure?" Myles asked. Wilder sighed. "No," he said. "Why? What's wrong?" Myles asked. "My parents are arguing and fighting again. Custody. But I'm going with my dad no matter what," Wilder said. "You're fourteen," Myles said. "I'm sure you get a say." "I hope so," Wilder said. "I don't know what I'd do if I never saw dad again." 

Myles's heart ached for his friend. Divorce has to be hard on him. But Myles realized Wilder never talked about his mom in a positive way. But Myles promised to be there for Wilder. And that's exactly what he is going to do.
