[Y/n's POV: Flashback from 4 years ago]

"Oh c'mon Gilbert! It's just a little duck, you can't be scared of a small duck" I say giggling with the duck in my hands as I chase a very scared Gilbert around.

"Y/n please, for the love of all things good get it away from meeee" he says running in fear.

"Fine, your no fun" I say as I return the duck into the water and walk over to where Gilbert is sitting.

"I'm really glad we're friends"

"Really? Why's that"

"Cause who else would I have to chase me with such a devilish creature"

"Devilish creature? Are you mad? It's just a duck you big baby"

"Oh I'm the big baby? Confess you like me already then"

[Gilbert's POV]

"Oh I'm the big baby? Confess you like me already then" I say and watch as her cheeks grow red. It's really cute.

"W-What" she says staring at me wide eyed.

"Hm?"

"Nothing, I must be hearing things haha, um we should head back home, it's getting late"

[Y/n's POV]
"Nothing, I must be hearing things haha, um we should head back home, it's getting late" I say as I notice the Sun going down.

"Yeah" he says looking up, "let's head out then.

[End of flashback]

[Y/n's POV]
I look over at the clock as it reads 5:23. I shouldn't be awake. To be quite honest I haven't actually slept yet. I've been up thinking about me and Gilbert. We used to be so close, so in love.

We don't have class today. It starts tomorrow. So it's basically a free day to do as I please and to explore the city, I heard Anne saying she was planning on doing that today so I might as well go too.

Yet I can't stop thinking about him, what am I? A lovesick puppy. I'm pathetic.

I won't be useful just laying here thinking of nonsense.

A couple hours later...

I ended up going with Anne. I decided since she was going I might as well not go alone, and I don't want to hold any grudges. As we walk, we come across Winnie.

"Winifred." Anne says and starts walking towards her... uhhh "Hello."

"Hello. Uh, fancy seeing... you here." Winnifred says as Anne keeps walking towards her next to her carriage.

"Anne maybe this isn't the best idea-" I try to say

"You're looking well, Anne. Happy."
