{Stand by you Rachel Platten}

I stood in a dark forest with dim moonlight being my only companion. Or so thought. The trees were moving quickly out of my sight as I soared through them. I kept running and running. There was blood in my mouth and on my claws. I halted when I came across a familiar car, a lady came out crawling. But near my feet, I saw a shadow behind me. I turned around and saw it.

The Dark Wolf.

Its red eyes were blazing through my soul as its shadow like form shimmered before me.

No.

I opened my eyes and groggily sat up. I took my phone and checked the time. 3:36 am. I rubbed my eyes out and groaned. I didn't want to deal with that first thing in the morning.

Why was this nightmare constantly haunting me?!

I tried to brush it off and got up to do my usual morning routine before mom woke up. And around 4:30 she did, so both of us started to get ready for the day. We went down for Breakfast and saw Jayden promptly sitting at the dining table with a cup of tea along with his dad, Alpha Andrew. Luna Julia was in the kitchen making breakfast for all of us and Mom joined to help her. Knowing there was nothing much to do but to sit with the Alphas at the table and talk, I ran behind her to help as well.

We were making bacon, eggs, waffles and toast for Breakfast. I took over the waffles and coffee as Mom and Luna worked on the rest.

"Amara," Luna called out to Mom in a low voice, close to a whisper. Mom who was beside her looked up from the bacon.

"Hmm?"

"Are you sure you don't want to come back to the pack? With Bella and Melody being a part of the pack, you could come back too you know. Just like old times?"

Mom had this smile on her face, but her eyes... They were filled with sadness.

"Julia," she said and looked down at the bacon and turned them in the pan. "I can't leave the Cafe, nobody is there to take care of the business. I must stay there and look after it..." She said and looked away, as if to say Let's not talk about this further.

I agreed with Luna Julia that Mom could move into the pack as well, but we both knew deep down why she hated staying in the Blue Moon Pack. Luna Julia looked towards me, "Help me convince your Mom?" she asked and I went towards them with freshly Hot Waffles.

"How could me and Bella stay here with a peaceful mind knowing you're okay there?" I asked Mom with utmost sincerity. "At least tell us you'll think about it?" I asked and did the baby face to convince her.

She let out a deep sigh, "I'll think about it." She told us both and we continued to get breakfast done. Soon Michaël and Bella joined us as well. Then we all had breakfast together like last night and Mom got ready to leave. She insisted to leave before other pack members got to know about her visit. Bella and I insisted she call and text frequently throughout the week before our visit. Then she drove the car away as we bid goodbyes. An empty feeling started to flood up in my stomach. So this is it.

This is how it feels huh? I thought I must have gotten used to it by now, yet that feeling feels foreign.

As if I'm used to feel like I belonged somewhere.

"Alright, now we need to introduce you guys to that pack," Jayden announced.

The Pack Introduction.

What if somebody recognizes me? What if someone remembers?

It's been years now, even Jayden didn't recognize her, so how could the pack?

"Great, when do we go to the Moon Portal?" Bella asked.

Moon Portal???

"In half an hour maybe?" Jayden said while looking at his watch.

"We'll fresh up a bit and come down." Michaël replied and both Bella and Michaël left upstairs.

"What about you? Do you also want to..." he asked pointing up the stairs and I shook my head. "I'm comfortable with what I'm wearing now," I said with a smile. Then doubt hit me. "Should I change?" I asked looking down at my attire - a simple grey t-shirt and black jeans.

"If you're comfortable then no problem," he said, but soon I started to feel underdressed with his off-white button down shirt and black pants.

"What's a Moon portal?" I asked curiously. Did it lead a secret path to the Moon like the books?

"Moon Portal, is the Moon gate that was build long ago by the founders of the pack. It's a ceremonial place, the Hybrids and Witches of the pack sometimes use it for divination or for any spiritual exploration. We as a pack, use it as common meeting place for any important announcements as well."

"How does it look like?"

He smiled genuinely and I saw a dimple on the side of his cheek. "You'll see."

Then we waited for a couple of minutes and Michaël and Bella joined us. Bella changed into a beautiful dark blue frock that reached her knees and had her hair up in beautiful crown braid.

Michaël had worn a dark olive green button down shirt and jeans. He had a smile of pride when he looked at us.

"Ready to introduce your mate Mike?" Jayden asked with a smile.

"You have no idea," Michaël said and all 4 of us left for the Moon Portal which was just a couple of feet away from the pack house.

It was magnificent and mind-blowing.

It stood at the center of a green grass filled lawn with some beautiful pink flowers on the sides. The Portal was built in a circular shape with thin slab like rocks that held the entire thing. Some people stood around  the Moon Portal, maybe around 50 and started to mutter and whisper to each other as they saw us coming.

I remember coming across it long before, but I thought it was some decoration piece in a garden.

"Let's wait here," Michaël said and so the three of us stood down when Jayden went up close to the Moon Portal and stood atop of the raised platform.

"Who is she?"

"She's gorgeous,"

"Is she the new Luna?"

Almost everyone could hear the whispers spreading into an uproar. But somehow to my surprise, Bella stood calm beside Michaël and I noticed both of them holding their hands and squeezing it in reassurance.

"Thank you all for coming, we have an important announcement to make, but before that," Jayden stopped and nodded to Michaël, who went up the platform along with Bella.

"Let me introduce you to my Beloved Mate, Isabella Green," He said out loud with pride and a cheering roar erupted from the gathered crowd. Bella smiled and bowed her head gracefully. Lots of claps and cheers roared.

"And her sister, Melody Green," Michaël announced and I climbed up the platform and bowed like Isabella to the pack. Some more murmurs arose and unmistakably I heard someone whisper.

"The Fuck?" I heard someone curse. But more than his comment, his voice made me frown. I looked up to the source and almost instantly felt nervous.

Standing amongst the crowd, almost blending in...

Stood Sebastian.
