Chapter 3 - Everything has Changed

"Shit.." Melody muttered and both the sisters' eyes widened in shock.

Melody soon realised that he was THE Alpha Jayden. The one she's heard so much years ago. He was deadly and dangerous to mess with.

"You're a Beta?" Bella asked slowly, processing the news.

"Yeah, I was planning on saying it sooner.." Micheal said sheepishly, scratch.

Amara noticed and had a feeling she was missing something. "What is going on?" she asked.

"Mom, Micheal is my Mate." Bella said ever so softly.

"What?" She asked looking between Bella and Micheal. Soon she beamed with joy. "Oh Bella," she hugged her daughter so tight and she had tears of joy. She extended her arm and pulled in Micheal too.

Melody couldnt help but find the entire moment beautiful. But she was also feeling extremely anxious within the presence of the Alpha and Beta of the pack she used to hate the most. Almost soon enough a sharp ding! sound interupted them, demanding their attention.

"I'll handle them and ask them to leave as soon as possible."

"Melody you can't ask people to just leave. That would be so rude."

"Not if you offer something in return," Melody remarked and went out the kitchen door and announced on top of her lungs.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! May I have your attention please? Due to personal reasons we must close the shop early-"

A lot of groans and boos were made throughout the cafe.

"- but to compensate, the item you ordered or currently enjoying would be packed along with another order of your choice, anything, for free and on the house!"

What? How? Really? A lot of whispers and shocks sounds from people.

"Come on, the new orders for the temporary deal is open for only 5 minutes. Come to the counter to order soon or be ready to leave empty handed at another half an hour." I announced and soon chaos and clamour was in pursuit.

"It'll be out of my own pocket, I told my Mom who had the smile of disbelief and shook her head.

"Why don't we go upstairs and talk?" I heard Mom suggesting and footsteps behind me.

Soon people started to crowd around the counter, and I took over as the group left upstairs to our home.

I finally packed the last of the orders and placed it on top of the counter and bid goodbye to the customer. They left and I started to clean around the cafe after turning the sign from 'Open' to 'Close'.

The bell dinged again. I looked up to see a man come over, his scent distinctively screaming rogue.

"I'm looking for Jerry," he huffed and stood beside me as I swept the floor.

"Hmm I don't know," I said placing my chin on top of staff of the broom. "Last I saw, he was chased by Tom."

"Tom?"

"Yeah but don't worry, he got a pie smashed in the face by Jerry." I said, controlling my laughter within.

"You think this is funny?" He asked almost dangerously, but I was tired. He looked only a bit older than I was.

"Yeah no I think it is hilarious to have a blind and retard man to ask about some guy named Jerry." I said and I swore I could almost see the smoke coming out of his ears.

Maybe I should stop watching Cartoons.

"I'm not blind nor retard." He stated firmly.

"Oh but you stand corrected as you walked in while reading the sign, which clearly indicates you're blind And retard because you think random people know the names of random strangers." I blabbered and went behind the counter. I started to take a small vial from the back of the drawer I had kept for emergency. 

"You don't remember me do you?" He asks with a sly smile on his face. I saw him lifting the sleeve of his jacket to show his fire-burnt skin. I widened my eyes with recognition and the impact it had on him. He would definitely want to kill me now.

"Do you want me to state my point again?" I asked nonetheless, keeping up my facade.

"No, you do know me." He said dangerously slow. "You're just lying to my face." He seethed.

"What is going on here?" I heard and turned back to see Jayden coming in from the door.

No no no, he can't know.

"Last customer," I said looking at him and smiling. "He came in when we closed, demanding an order." I said as I looked sternly at the Rogue. His eyes had fear, as he looked at the Alpha.

Not just any alpha. THE ALPHA of the Blue Moon Pack. 

The hate was evident in his eyes but his fear was also evident with the slight sweat forming at his forehead.

"Can you please at least tell me your order sir?" I asked.

He scanned the counter and landed on the cupcake stand filled with muffins.

"2 Muffins," he said and I looked up. "Chocolate or Raisins?"

"Raisins,"

I turned around and packed it in the box while I faintly noticed Jayden coming closer to the guy and muttering something. I turned in time to see the guy shook his head and replied something back to Jayden.

"How much?"  he asked as he took out his wallet when I fully turned and placed the muffin box towards him.

"3$"

He paid and left.

But Jayden kept sending glares on his back until he left the door.

"Was he troubling you?" He questioned almost immediately.

"No, it was not that bad. I handled it." I said and reached down to place the vial back inside, discreetly.

"But thank you anyways," I said with a smile and took out the keys to lock the door shut.

"Can I get you anything? Coffee or a Muffin?" I asked him.

"No no I'm fine."

"Please? I insist," I asked as nicely as possible.

"Fine, I'll just have a chocolate muffin and tea." He said and took out his wallet. I laughed.

"What do you think you're doing?" I asked. He motioned paying up and I shook my head. "It's on the house, I would never ask you to pay. You're a part of the family now!" I said as I fixed him a plate of 2 Chocolate Muffins and a cup of tea.

"Melody thank god you're here. What's taking so long?" Mom asks as she came in from the kitchen.

"I'm just fixing up some snacks," I said and looked up to see mom smiling. Not just normal smiling but scheming smiling.

This can't be good.

"I need to talk to you," she said softly.

"Sure," I said and gave him the plate and walked with my mom inside the kitchen. "What happened?" I asked as soon as we got in.

"I need a favour." Mom asked.

"What favour?" I asked quizzically.

"I need you to go with Jayden to his pack."
