{Where Do I Go by Anna Blue}The evening went by in a blur as we all started packing. I had no clue as to what to pack and what not to pack. Bella told me to pretend to pack for a vacation, and that we could always come back here to get more stuff if we forgot.
The one thing I must admit about myself is that I was an extreme hoarder.
I hoard all things that remind me of memories that I hold dear. There was something about holding them in your hands and realising how fast time went by and how that little piece of a gem could give you a sense of peace and comfort.
Without having such privileges years ago, I now hold onto them, tight and near.
Which is why my side of the room is always a mess filled with big boxes of things I want to keep from long ago while Bella's was minimalistic and neat. Which is also why Bella's suitcase has neatly folded clothes with some more space left while I sat on top of mine and struggled to close it tight.
"Do you really want to pack all of those..?" Bella asked with raised brows. "You do know we might be visiting back next weekend?"
"I know, that's why I packed for the week!" I huffed in exhaustion.
Bella shook her head, laughing to herself and came over to help me prioritise my things and lighten up my suitcase much to my disappointment.
"There, you have more space now. Don't just crumple and roll the clothes, it'll take up more space than you thought." She said and patted my back.
I really did want to bring my comfort books, but Bella said they could be collected during next week's visit.
The guys left sometime midway through our packing to go and get ready for our arrival at the pack. Mom came over to our room and helped us pack more essential herbs and medicines that we might need just in case. She gave Bella a mini spell book to help her during the stay in the pack and had warned her about the witches and hybrids of the pack. She told a bit about the coven which I completely zone-out at... Not like I would have understood it.
But the advice part came for both of us and Mom made sure to pull me out of my own thoughts before warning.
"Girls, listen to me carefully. I have something important to tell you. Blue Moon pack has the history of being the one of the first and oldest packs to accept all kinds of wolves centuries before. I talking all kinds of hybrids, Vampire, Witches , Sirens... All. Amongst other kinds of wolves, Witches were said to be the closest ally to the pack and Blue Moon pack is the only pack to have a Coven within them."
"Wait, there's a coven within Blue Moon pack?!" I asked filled with complete shock.
"Yes, silly. Mom was part of it." Bella said casually and everything shook visibly for a second.
"Hold the fricking horses, what?!!!" I exclaimed.
"You knew I was part of a coven right?" Mom asked with a frown. "Sometimes I wonder whether you listen to what we are talking."
"I mean- Yes but- Blue Moon Pack was what I thought you were a part of?!"
"Blue Moon Coven has been a part of the pack from the day it was formed. Allegedly, Blue Moon pack is said to have formed by making a close alliance with a Coven of witches. Now it is a renowned prestigious coven for Witches who seek high and powerful standards of magic. The legal magic of nature only, no necromancy, voodoo things. The Coven is very protective and close to the pure-bloods who have lived codependently within the coven for centuries. I grew up there and that's where our family lineage has been for saints knows how long."
"But you left..?" I asked lowly and I noticed Bella widened her eyes at me at the corner. It was never a right time to ask the question, but it was something I always wish I knew.
Mom gave a sad smile and said, "Yes, to start new after the War..."
The War.
The infamous war which broke many families and lost many forever.
The War between The Blue Moon Pack and Red Crescent Pack that happened nearly 20 years ago.
The cold blooded feud is still said to be sizzling between them till date.
The one where I supposedly lost my parent as well.
"The war destroyed the Blue moon pack and The coven terribly. Last I heard very few stayed back to rebuild the coven... But I don't know. I cut off most connections after the War and moved out of the pack. So you might be welcomed well into the pack and coven... But also beware of the others who might not be as welcoming... That goes for you too Melody. They might be skeptical about a pure wolf like you-"
"-Being born to a hybrid like you. Yes you've told me. I'll be extra careful. The secret will be safe with me," I promised her.
"Stay far away from the Red Crescent pack, don't even step into their border." She ordered.
"Yes Ma'am," I said and saluted.
"I'm serious Melody, of all the things you would do in the pack, don't take a step into that vile piece of land."
"Ok mom chill. I will not go there." I said and gave her a side hug.
Soon we did the final packing and Bella got a bit emotional and hugged Mom for quite a long time, but I was sure if I wasn't going along with her, I would have felt equally the same with Bella as well.
"Thank you for accompanying me with to the Pack Mel," she said and hugged me too.
Oh yes, Bella didn't know the real reason I was coming to Blue Moon Pack. She thinks I'm coming to the pack to learn about being in the pack and potentially join the same pack while secretly giving her company to help her settle in.
And while I was doing all that as well, main plan for me is to bring down The Shadows. And she wasn't supposed to know. If she knew about it she would want to join as well and I very well remember the last time she helped me and ended up in-
No.
No, Absolutely not.
I can't let that happen again and put Bella in that same situation.

"Are we there yet?" Bella asked Mom while sitting up front beside Mom in the passenger seat. I was half asleep in the back with a suitcase beside me and some more back in the trunk of the car.
"45 more minutes, we will be there soon." I think I heard Mom saying.
I turned my head toward the window and saw the trees going by and my eyes drifted back to sleep.
With what felt like minutes I felt Bella nudging me. "Wake up Mel, We're here." Bella said I blinked open my eyes and looked around. I swear I felt like I slept for 5 minutes only. But when I woke up and looked out the window, I saw we were going past different houses and took me minutes to realise we were in the pack.
Mom drove a bit further and we entered a wide green lawn with various bushes and a big house straight in the middle. 4 people stood out, all of them with an aura of authority around them I instantly realised.
We reached the Pack House
