Hannah, that sly girl, manages to hide her phone and send her boyfriend the detective's number that Alan gave her. It's a funny situation: the detective decides to retire, and his daughter takes possession of the phone. Funny and lucky. He could hardly fool an old wolf, but a young, inexperienced Raven was another matter. Demonstrate skills and natural charm, and she trusts him like no one else, asks his advice and obeys him.

The foolish girl.

"Are you scared? I can see you," the stranger wheezes into the phone.

And Raven rushes over to him - sharing her worries. Jake leans back in his chair and laughs, a husky, hearty laugh. But he answers, pretending he doesn't know what she's talking about.

The foolish girl.

But pretty cute.

"It's just a game for you, isn't it? You were warned," he says this, covering the camera with the palm of his hand.

And Raven throws herself at him again, looking for support. She doesn't even allow herself the thought that Jake might have anything to do with this.

Jake: Please don't tell the others.

Raven: Okay, I won't. I trust you.

The foolish girl.

But somehow her "I trust you" scratches at his long-darkened soul.

He covers himself with a tale of government persecution, pretending to be an awkward youngster. And she believes it.

The foolish girl.

But... Is he really only pretending?

Jake can see Raven. He watches her every move, controlling her, trying to scare her into giving up the investigation. But she continues to cling to the search. How ironic - because of him. Because of his bright side, the threats of the real Jake doesn't work.

Jake takes a risk. He comes to her house at night to leave another message. The sign of the raven for Raven, how ironic. And in the morning, she's already panicking, texting him a whole bunch of messages, getting him to come back online and only then sending a photo. Jake finally gets to see his creation from the outside. It's look better than he thought.

Jake: Are you sure you want to keep going? I won't be offended if you drop the case.

Please, please, please drop it, foolish girl.

Raven: No, I'm not leaving you!

Jake: Raven, you...

Foolish, what the foolish girl!..

If she doesn't stop, he'll have to...

Unknown: "I warned you, didn't I? The games are over, now it's too late. I will destroy you."

Strange that she hadn't forwarded that message. But that's okay. Raven still trusts him, and Jake... He can't stop it anymore.

He glides ghostlike through the darkness of the street, sneaking up to attack silently, just as he did with Jessica. But Raven breaks his plans again, turning around, grabbing his arm at the last moment.

"Jake." She whispered, and he felt as if his insides were turning upside down. She recognized him, though she'd only seen the blurry image of him in the sweatshirt before. Was it the same sweatshirt?

"Hello, Raven. How surprising."

"I can feel you and your embarrassment."

Raven smiled slightly and moved forward, throwing herself into his arms. That's all Jake needs. Pretending - right? - awkward young man, embarrassed at first, but taking the initiative. He pulls her away, pushes her against the wall, and, pressing his body against hers, kisses her. Her breath on his skin, the heat of her fragile body... In the light of the dim street lamp, he sees his own reflection in her eyes and is lost for a few seconds. Maybe there's still a chance to stop? Maybe she'll realize? But the process is already underway.

"I... I didn't expect and... You..."

Eyes closing, Raven slowly slides down the wall, literally ending up in Jake's arms.

Love is poison.

Poison is chemistry.

And Jake is good at chemistry.

A bag and a special room waiting for Raven.

The muzzle of the gun is pointed straight at her forehead. His hand is shaking.

"That's the fifth time you've pointed a gun at me." Raven tilts her head slightly. Bound hand and foot, all she can do is glare at him. "We both know you won't shoot me."

"Shut up," Jake growls.

Anger boils in his blood, but he's only angry with himself. Because she's right. He could have threatened her, dealt with the people who roamed the woods, attacked Jessica, and kidnapped his lovable sister - really just to get back at his father, to make him feel the pain of his loss.

Anger boils in his blood. Jake grits his teeth, gripping his gun tighter. Raven is just a nuisance he must...

He must...

"Will there be a sixth time?"

...put the goddamn gun down.

Who's really foolish here?

"I can't let you go after everything."

"Who says I'm gonna leave?"

Love is poison, isn't it?
