"Uhm! Mrs. Jung, can I talk to your son personally?" I asked her as politely as I could. But deep down I want to flip the table and yell so loud. But this is not what a psychiatrist does, right?
"Yeah, sure." She gives me one of the sweetest smiles and I stand up, gesturing Hoseok to come with me, leaving her mom in the chamber.
Both of us walk out of the room and find Jin in the kitchen, drinking water.
"Jin, can you come here please?" He nods and puts the glass in the sink before coming and sitting beside me on the couch. He was eyeing Hoseok like he's gonna kill him.
"So...... Hoseok, he's my husband, Jin." Hoseok's eyes widened as he looked at Jin.
"You're..... You're married?" He said and I nodded.
"But there's no way it's possible. When I saw you in the mall you were telling your friend about how you don't want to marry now and wanted to open a chamber of your own. So it's not possible that you just marry right away after that?" I sigh at his statement and look at Jin before looking back at Hoseok across the table.
"You're right, we are married but it's because he likes my presence. Jin is my patient. He's suffering from IED, and only I can control his anger. And he feels happy whenever he's with me. So that's why he asked me to marry him but on the condition that we'll never physically interact with each other and always remain friends." I look back at Jin who gives me an awkward smile as he can't understand why I'm telling this to Hoseok.
"So can't you marry me in that way?" Hoseok suddenly speaks after a not-so-long silence and I gasp as Jin suddenly stands up. Oh God, not now! Not in front of Jin.
"What the hell is he saying, Aria?" Jin looked at me while pointing at Hoseok and I remained silent.
"Aria, I know what I'm asking is not easy for you. But I can promise too that I'll be your friend forever. I'll never cross the limits. You are the only girl who attracts my attention. And I don't want anyone else in my life if you're not it. Please Aria, I promise you our relationship will be the same as yours and Jin's. But please, marry me." He pleaded with teary eyes and held my hand.
"But, you don't have any problem with the fact that I already have a husband?" I ask him while pulling my hand back.
"No, it's your choice. And I'm marrying you because you caught my attention and I find you as my perfect ideal type. But also I promise you that we'll remain friends forever. So even if someday you love someone and want to marry him, I won't object. So..... Is it a yes?" He looks back and forth between me and Jin. I look at Jin and he slightly shakes his head as no. I sigh and turn back to Hoseok with the best fake smile on my lips.
"Okay, I'll marry you," I said and Hoseok's face lit up. But Jin becomes frustrated.
