"You're back." Tae immediately runs to me and pick me up like a baby and started to spin me around.
"Yah! Tae! You'll drop me and also hurt yourself! Just put me down I'm not going anywhere." He put me down and giggle as he pecks me on the cheek, and I immediately turn red because of it.
"Aish! What's going on? Why are you guys not letting me sleep?" Suga sits up on the couch making his face like he's been dragging through the entire Seoul City. I plop down beside him following by Tae. That's when Jimin come out of the kitchen with an ice-cold water bottle and give it to me before taking the empty seat beside Tae.
"Thanks, Chim. You're a real lifesaver." I immediately emptied the bottle and throw it on the trash can before going to get fresh.
After wearing some comfy baggy top and shorts, I walk to the living room. Where there Hoseok was already sitting with Jin. This time I sit between them.
"So, how's the operation?" Hoseok stretches a little before locking his phone and set it on the table.
"Exhausting. But thankfully, I have had success on it with the help of Jin hyung." I turn my head at Jin and smile. He smiles back and looks down only to look back at me with widening eyes and then squeeze my cheeks in his hands.
"Are you wearing lenses, Ari?" He tried to look deep into my eyes which could be intimidating but the fact that he's squeezing my cheeks for it was making it a little awkward for me.
"You removed your lenses, Ari? When?" I hear Jimin's voice and Jin left me, looking at Jimin with a confused expression. My face was turned pale because of the pressure of Jin's hands, so Hoseok started to rub them a little making me smile at his soft gesture.
"Wait, what's this drama about lenses?" Suga said and look at me, and his eyes widened.
"Y-your eyes have two di-different colours." He was reacting like he has seen some sort of ghost. When Tae suddenly left his seat to crawl towards me. He was about to grab my face but I hold his hands and place them on my neck. He didn't care about it though. Because he was busy examining my eyes.
"Yeah hyung you're right. Her eyes are two different colours. But how? And why did you wore lenses?" He said leaving my neck but sitting on the floor. I sigh and started to tell them about my story.
"Well, this is because I have Heterochromia Iridum. This is a genetic condition where a person has both of their parent's eyes. My eomma has Ocean Blue eyes and my dad's eyes are Emerald Green, Suga, Jin and Hoseok saw them. I got both of their eye colours. But it wasn't a gift, instead, it was a curse for me. Because of my different eye colours, people used to bully me. Specifically the students in my school. So one day, Jimin bought me these lenses and make me wear them, even though he was totally against them. Since then, I've never removed them." I look at Jimin with the last words, who looks proud of my decision.
"But what caused you to remove them now?" Suga's question caught me off guard as I wasn't prepared with an answer.
"Umm... Today one of our patients was discharged after his long therapy sessions. So he was giving a goodbye speech about how we should love our weaknesses but not hide them. That thing inspired me and I decided to stay with what I'm really is." They give me a soft smile implying their acceptance of my decision. But what I can't tell anyone, is the guy who inspired me was neither my patient nor my friend. Heck, even I don't know why I getting attracted to what is forbade for me.
