As I hesitantly made my way up the stairs that was leading to the roof, many thoughts crossed my mind. Out of all the brothers, what could Laito possibly want with me?

                                                                             (Meanwhile)

Yui ran up to Kanato with a smile on her face and a drink in her hand. "Here. I brought you some coffee", she said while handing it towards Kanato. He immediately slapped the coffee out of her hands with a disgusted look on his face, causing the coffee to spill on her hands. "Ow", she whined in pain. "Don't you know that I prefer things that are sweet?! I hate things that leave a bitter after taste! So I hate coffee! Why is it so hard for you to understand?!", Kanato yelled.

"But that's no reason to spill it on the floor!", Yui protested. "Don't think that you can talk back to me like that!", he interrupted. Yui flinched in surprise and fear. "You're only a worthless mortal, so you have no right!", he continued. "I-I'm really sorry", Yui pleaded. "I know you, and you aren't sorry at all. So why are you apologizing?!", he refuted. "Then, wh-what do you want from me", Yui hesitantly asked.

Kanato rolled his eyes at her ignorance and looked down while trying to calm down. "It should be obvious. I wanted you to figure that out on your own". "Th-then I guess I'll go and get you something else", Yui responded. Kanato looked up while narrowing his eyes at her before interrupting her once again. "No thank you. I don't want it anymore". He then walked up to Yui before taking her hand.

"Did the hot coffee splash on your fingers while it fell to the ground? I hope that it didn't burn your flesh, you poor thing", he said with no emotion in his voice. He then licked her fingers causing her to pull back immediately with a shriek. "This is why I like Ro better than you. She doesn't seem frightened or disgusted by Teddy and I in either way. She even promised to hang out with us. She's so cute...", he said with a small tint of red on his cheeks.

Yui tilted her head in confusion. Ro promised that? She willingly actually wants to spend time with everyone? But why?! They're all monsters!!! And why does everyone hate me?! I'm the only one who is being reasonable around here!!! What do they even see in Ro?! She's not even that pretty!!! "Oh, really? That seems awfully kind of her to do", she finally responded with a fake smile plastered onto her face.

Kanato then glared at her. "Are you mocking me?", he asked in a dangerously low tone. "N-no! Not at all! I genuinely think that it's wonderful that my sister is willing to spend time with you", she replied panicking. "You don't have to lie. I know you hate Ro, which is one of the many reasons on why I hate you. Even though I don't understand on why or how you hate her since she is simply adorable, to me that doesn't matter. It just comes to the conclusion that she doesn't need you in order to feel cared for and loved while she's staying with us", he replied while looking at her with a hint of warning in his eyes.

"Witnessing you hating Ro makes me sometimes wonder if you hate me and Teddy too. Tell me, do you? Why aren't you interested in learning more about us", he continued. "I-It's not as if I hate you exactly. And I would like to get to know you a bit better", she stuttered out. After a few seconds of awkward silence and intense staring, Kanato finally responded before beginning to walk away. "Then I would appreciate it if you would make the effort to understand me".

Letting out a sigh of relief, Yui then began searching for her bag. That's weird. I could've sworn I left it here before I went to go buy Kanato that coffee. It couldn't have just disappeared into thin air. Unless... "K-Kanato! I left my bag here and now it's gone! Have you seen it?!", she called after him before he could walk out the door. He winced from her high pitched voice that was irritating his sensitive ears.

"Why must you be so loud? And I took it to the rooftop a while ago", he responded. How did he even have the time to leave it on the rooftop and why?! "The rooftop?! But why?!", Yui asked. He slightly turned around to face her with a smirk on his face. "It's simple. I did it to punish you". "Punish? I don't understand. What did I do?", she asked. "Because I felt like it. I didn't like the way how bad you were thinking of Ro. I could tell by looking at your expressions. You mortals are truly hopeless. Also you were trying to use the phone to escape. Everyone knows that the old phones here in school never worked and that it's simply prop to be used for decorations, isn't that right Teddy", he said while bringing his attention back to the stuffed bear before finally walking out the door leaving a slam behind.
