Chapter 16

As I descended down the stairs, I was met by everyone waiting for me at the dining table. "It's nice of you to finally join us Ro," said Reiji. I bowed my head in apology. "Sorry that I am late Reiji-senpai," I replied. A wave of silence appeared into the room. I glanced up to see Reiji staring at me with wide eyes and flushed cheeks. I tilted my head in confusion. "Is there something wrong Reiji-senpai," I asked worried. He jumped a little in surprise, but quickly composed himself by returning back to his stoic expression and cleared his throat. "It's nothing. Please have a seat and join us for dinner," he replied. I nodded my head and began walking towards the long table.

"You should sit right next to me Babe," Laito said flirtatiously. Ayato then quickly slammed his hands down on the table stood up abruptly, staring Laito down. "If Beauty is going to sit with someone, it should be with her Ore-sama," he said pointing his thumb at himself. Laito sighed. "Don't be so greedy Ayato. You already had your time with Babe. Besides sharing is caring," he said. "Like I said before, she is mine. Ore-sama shares with no one and I won't be repeating myself again," Ayato said. He sounded so possessive and territorial. Almost like a predator that has found it's prey.

Subaru huffed in annoyance. "Can't you stop with that Ore-sama shit already?! It's getting really annoying". Ayato turned towards him growling, and teeth seizing in anger. "What did you just say," exclaimed Ayato. Subaru groaned and rolled his eyes. "You can hear can't you? I said that you are annoying as hell," he replied. "HUH," yelled Ayato. I then felt myself being tugged gently by my arm, and sat into a seat. I gasped and looked up only to be met with ocean blue eyes. "All of you shut up. She's sitting with me," Shu said quietly. Ayato groaned, Subaru huffed, and Laito smirked. "Fufu, it seems that Shu has gotten away with the prize once again. This isn't over Babe, until next time," Laito said.

Everyone then started to eat their food. I then noticed that Yui was being unusually quiet. I looked up to see her sitting across Shu and I, right beside Ayato. Feeling my eyes on her, she looked up at me. I gave her a concerned glance while she softly smiled at me in reassurance. I mentally sighed in relief but promised myself to talk to her later. While eating, I looked around at the table to notice the boys barely saying anything to each other. This is just like in the car when we were going to school. I wonder why they aren't that close to each other. They are brothers after all.

Laito got up from his chair and walked up to Yui. "Doesn't look like you've eaten very much, Little Bitch," he said. Yui looked up at him in slight surprise, only to see him leaning towards her. "You need to eat a well balanced diet or you'll become a nuisance to feed on. I'll be more than happy to feed you if you'd like," he said seductively. I unconsciously shivered at the tone of his voice. "Laito, it's impolite to stand at the table while the rest of us are still eating. So please refrain from doing so," Reiji said. Laito sighed and rolled his eyes. "Yes sir," he replied sarcastically. He stood up straight and glanced back at Yui. "But this conversation isn't over, Little Bitch," he said while walking back to his seat. As soon as he sat down, he looked at me and winked with a smirk on his face. I flushed and turned away.

I then felt Shu abruptly stand up. "Shu," Yui asked. "I can't be bothered with this," he said quietly. After giving me a final longing glance, he turned away with his hands in his pockets and walked out of the room. I blinked in confusion towards the direction of where he just left. Reiji sighed. "I've had it with that deadbeat. As a child, he had everything handed to him on a silver platter. This is what happens when kids are spoiled," he said. Yui and I glanced at each other both wondering what was going on between the two of them. I wonder why Reiji hates Shu so much. "Teddy," Kanato began. "What would you like to eat next? Let's have a banana snowball, shall we," he continued. He then raised his fork towards the cookies and then started stabbing it. He started to laugh maniacally while breaking the plate in the process. Reiji closed his eyes at this and just sighed as if it was normal. "That will be all for today," Reiji announced at the table. Everyone started to slowly depart. "Thank you for the meal," I bowed towards Reiji. He nodded his head in acknowledgement towards me. "I'll see you later Yui," I said. Yui nodded. I then started to make my way towards the stairs.
