Light was still staring at Elliot, confused as the british man jumped around excitedly, just like a little kid.
-Elliot? Who is Sam? What's happening?
-It's a really long story, but I'm not from here. I don't have a Light or Dark version or any of that.
-You don't? Wait, how is that possible? Where are you from?
-Well... if you want me to answer those questions I need to tell you the whole story. It may take a while.
-Ok, I'm free today, anyway. But please, let me help you with your injuries first. - he asked as he pointed to the couch where the clothes were.
Elliot just now noticed that there was also a bottle of distilled water along with some cotton on top of the center table. He nodded a bit and walked towards the couch. Light Adam grabbed some of the cotton and moistened it with the water as Elliot took his shirt off. Light sat with him and started cleaning his injuries carefully.
-You can start telling the story, if you want to. - the eldest man said.
-Ok. So... since I was born I lived in England, but this is my last year on University and I thought that I would problably have more chances of getting a good job if I came to America, so I applied to some Universities in here and University of Columbia said that it would accept me as long as I got a job as an intern somewhere to have some experience. I tried to apply for some jobs like in offices and all that but none of them accepted me, and then I found Sam. - he hissed at the end of the sentence, when Light accidentally pressured one of his injuries a bit too strong.
-I'm sorry - he said as he slowly caressed Elliot's injury with the tip of his fingers.
Elliot felt his cheeks heat up lightly and was thankfull that Adam couldn't see his face.
-It's alright. Anyway - he said as he cleared his throat - He was a scientist. Old man, kinda rude but really interesting to be around. He accepted me as his assistant and I ended up accepting it. He was doing some research about Alternative Universes and built a machine that was supposed to let us travel from universe to universe. We were testing it but something must have been wrong with the machine. I was the only one who came apparently... I was in New York and now I woke up in Los Angeles with no explanation and I have no idea of how to come back neither where Sam is. Or if he is alright...
Light Adam stopped cleaning him for a bit and Elliot felt his gaze over him. He looked back at Adam, who was looking at him with a surprised face.
-So you are from an Alternative Universe? That's so cool - he chuckled - How is your universe?
-Well... from what I saw I think that it's exactly like yours, except that we don't have a Light or Dark version. We are simply ourselves - he shrugged - Like... you seem very polite and calm, while he - he said as he pointed to the black door - seems rude and agressive. I guess that in my universe we are just a combination of both.
-A... combination? So all people are agressive but calm at the same time? - the eldest man asked, confused.
Elliot chuckled a bit and shook his head.
-It's a bit more complicated than that... do you have a piece of paper? I think I can show you.
Light Adam stood up and went to his desk, coming back with a piece of paper and a pencil. Elliot took them and drew the Yin-Yang symbol. Then he explained:
-So. The white part would be the Light version and the black part would be the Dark version. You see the little black dot on the white part, and the little white dot on the black part?
