Kidnapping was not part of the plan!!! Neither was falling in love!!!!

Chapter 6

Adrian POV

           "If you don't mind, can I go by myself? I promise I won't do anything stupid I just need some alone time, if you want we'll meet up at the candy shop." she pleaded. I know that's what she needed. It was a risky thing to do but I couldn't say no. Did I trust she was going to come back not really, but something told me I should.

          "Sure, I'll meet you at Mr. Crowley's Candy Corner" I said. I did hope she was going to come back. I turned around and started heading off to the market. I walked in and the song ' Trouble' by Taylor Swift was playing through the speaker. I swear this song was going to be stuck in my head later on. I started humming to the beat. I began throwing stuff into the cart walking aisle through aisle. I got some stuff for dinner, breakfast, and lunch. I also stocked up on bathroom products like soap, shampoo, conditioner, razors, women stuff if you get what I mean. I also got some icecream, and cookies and some movies to watch later incase it got awkward and boring. I headed to check out and got in line.

       "Adrian!" I heard my name being called. I turned around to see  Mr. And Mrs. Smith smiling back at me. Mrs. Smith came forwards and gave me a big hug, I hugged her back. I was so glad to see them. Mr. Smith gave me a good pat in the back. "My my son you look so much older and mature. I see you let your hair grow." Mrs. Smith tugged on my hair gently.

        "Adrian I'm glad to see you back it's been a while since the last time. How's Emily and your mom?" Mr. Smith asked.

         " Well my mom has been pretty busy and she's been working the late shifts back at the clinic. She's saving up for the surgery that Emily needs?"

        "Well if you guys need anything please let us know deary" Mrs. Smith said caressing my cheek. Oh how much I missed this.

        "Hey son are you coming to the annual fall town fair this Friday. Anne hear is making her famous hot cocoa" he smiled rubbing his belly.

       " That's if any is still left by the time it starts" she added. I chuckled.

       "Well I will try to be there. My mind has been in so many places at once I hope it doesn't slip."

       "Of course! We would love it if you came. There's going to be music and contest and games and food, I hope you do! Well we got to leave I still have to finish some stuff. Please if anything try stopping by."

        "Yes Mrs. Smith of course." They walked away smiling back once before they headed off. I had almost forgotten about the annual fall town fair. I would love to go. Especially if Mrs. Smith is making the hot cocoa. I wonder if Autumn would want to come, I'll make sure to ask her later. When I got done paying I headed out and started walking down to the candy shop. I began walking slower as I got closer. What if she wasn't there? I dreaded letting her go by herself, but I understand she needed her space. I kept walking and noticed those emerald green eyes looking straight at me. Right on cue like she knew I was coming down the street. I was relieved, I couldn't believe she came back. I smiled, but then my face faltered in one of curiosity as I noticed someone sitting in front of her. As I got closer I wondered who the chick was.

       "Hey you!" She smiled. The girl finally faced me. " Gracie this is my uh friend A-"

       " ADRIAN?! " She blurted out. Huh? How did she know me? "Adrian its me grace. Don't you remember me?" I looked hard at her studying her face. Then it clicked! Of course the braces and glasses! That's why I didn't recognize her, she doesn't have the braces on! Grace was my childhood friend, I only got to see her when I'd come and stay over my uncles farm. Last time I saw her was 2 years ago. She looks so much different now.

      "Gracie! You've changed so much! I see you finally got your braces off and does awful ugly Betty glasses." I laughed as she slapped my shoulder only causing me to laugh more. She squealed and embraced me in a hug.

       "AJ I missed you so much you look different too!" She still calls me by my nickname which are my initials, Adrian Jase. We both were interrupted to a clearing of a throat. We turned back to see a dumbfounded Autumn, we both chuckled.

       "Autumn, Gracie and I have known each other since we were 10 she was my childhood buddy" she smiled at us.

       "What a coincidence she was my shopping buddy all day." We all laughed.

        "Well guys I got to get going, I have to start my second shift soon. Well Autumn it was nice meeting you, and thanks for the icecream and AJ it's nice having you back! We need to catch up on some stuff" she smiled at us.

        "It was fun shopping with you, hopefully we can hang out soon!" Autumn giggled.

        "Yea Grace stop by anytime." I smiled back. With that she turned around and headed back to the store. Autumn and I were left alone, I look back at her and she looks so innocent looking down at her feet. Smiling at her I picked up her bags. "Ready to go?" She smiled back and nodded.  We walked back to the car and the whole car ride home was silent and calm.
