~Kyra

I DON'T THINK I ended up falling asleep that night. And even if I did, it couldn't have been long enough.

I woke up briskly at six-thirty on the dot, so I'd make it to Vienna's, Adonis' fiancé, quarters on time. By the time I'd gotten there, she was in tears. And it was my unfortunate duty to help her.

"My lady," I groaned internally. This was going to be really cringe. "Are you alright?"

"Alright?" Her voice was gradually going higher and higher, nearing a horrendous shriek. "Am I alright?! I'm sexually frustrated!"

"Goodness!" I feigned hurt for her. "That sounds...very frustrating."

"Adonis. He-he..." She took a deep breath in. "Who am I to tell you? You're just a thief." She sniffed.

I had been with her, doing her hair and many other things, for about three hours before I was permitted to go for any sort of break.

I decided on breakfast first. At least, by then, the chateau would have some peace and quiet.

I walked all the way to my side of the chateau first, took a short breather, and continued to the kitchen. Maybe the little 'luxury' i had in this horrid place, though I was always on the run, was spoiling the muscle tone I used to have. Hopefully, I'd have to put up with some fights.

I pulled out a china mug and started to brew the tea while my crumpets were toasting. Possibly one of the most perfect breakfasts ever. I was about to reach for the sugar bowl when I felt a presence. I don't know whether it all came when I started being a fugitive, or by natural instinct, but that didn't matter. I felt whosoever it was move closer to my bent body, and immediately kicked out in response, aiming for the groin.

I could already hear a slights groan, but instant regret filled me as I recognized Jamal's voice as the person cussed out loud.

"I am so sorry! I didn't know you were there!" I immediately jumped up in embarrassment as I saw his clenched jaw and his tightly shut eyes as his arms rested lazily by his sides. He then began taking deep breaths in and out as if he was trying to calm himself down.

"Wow." He finally spoke up, nodding his head in a agreement to his words. "That was one strong kick, Kyra. Keep it up, yeah?"

His sarcasm was beginning to piss me off. "Don't mind if I do."

He rolled his eyes and licked his lips in thought as he began to speak again. Though it was only a mini second, I noticed the black tongue stud at its sharp tip and imagined way worse then R-rated things.

"Adonis requires your presence tonight." He began. I could tell there was more he wanted to say but I decided to be rude and continued with making my breakfast.

"You are telling me right now because?" It was clear he needed something, I thought to myself as I mixed two cubes of sugar.

He didn't respond- not even his breathing could be heard by me. And that was something new.

Maybe he's dead, I thought wickedly. I chuckled as I stirred my tea and started to butter some toast.

I felt him move rapidly, way before I could stop him with another kick to his balls.

He was so close to me, pressing up every inch of his body. I could feel his hands travel all over me as I struggled to keep up with the way my hands were shaking. The feelings I had were like shocks of electricity up and down my spine, a feeling I hadn't felt since Adonis.

But only he is my mate...

My tea cup fell to the ground with a loud crash as it shattered immediately.

"I think I should leave," I whispered loud enough for him to hear as I packed everything away, breathing heavily and my hands still shaky.

"Kyra." He called me in the most calm voice. How could he be calm? We could get into a lot of trouble if we were found like this-

"Kyra!" He was yelling now as I rushed out of the kitchen."

"Don't. Don't meet him there, Kyra! You are mine, you fucking belong to me!"

I didn't respond, but continued running until I reached my room.

His attitude was scaring me, but what scared me more was the feeling I had. How was this all possible, and most of all- why me?
