"Seoyoun? What are-"

"I'll be honest. I don't know anything about my powers. All I know is that I have the power of black magic, but that's all. So, I don't know what's going on here, but it..I feel something weird right now. I feel a strong connection between you."

"You haven't told her yet?"

"Tell me what?" I didn't get an answer, and it seems like I wouldn't, unless I asked.

"Nothing."

"If you really love me, you would tell me. Please..no more keeping secrets. No more lies. I've been lied enough. I've experienced too much pain to be hurt."

"Seoyoun..I won't tell you everthing because that would take too much, but you're the Black Pearl. You may not know what that means, but it's something you have to embrace. Not many people are the Black Pearl. Your biological mother is a Black Pearl. That's why she insists on taking you back."

"What happens if I don't embrace it?" I gulped, afraid of the answer. No one answered.

"Seeing that you have it taken care of, I'm going to go. If you do not give her proper guidance, I will kill you myself. Remember Ahn Sojin..I'm a whole lot stronger than you. I can do things that you can't do. I can kill you right here and right now, but I will give you a chance. One wrong decision, one crooked decision, and I will kill you that second with no explanation. As for you, honey, I'll always be looking over you. Until next time, goodbye." My real mother placed a light cheek on the forehead. She walked towards the beach. Something made me want to go after her and just spill everything out. When she turned around and gave me a bittersweet smile, I ran after her. She hurried deeper into the beach.

"NO!! MOM!! DON'T GO!" I was so close to grabbing her, but when I touched her wrist, she disappeared into bubbles.

A few seconds later, a wave washed over me, drenching me from head to toe. The wave was so strong, but it didn't stop there. More waves came crashing in. I was too deep to stand up. My only option was to swim. There was  just one problem though. I wasn't a strong swimmer. The current was too strong for me. I could feel myself being swept away deeper into the waters. As the next wave hit, I lost all will to try. I stopped trying and I immediately felt myself sink.

This is it. I'm going to die.

I closed my eyes, thinking this was the end, but someone pulled me up to the surface. I felt an arm wrapped around my waist and I was so close to my saviour. As soon as I was pulled up, I started coughing hard.

"Just wrap your arms around me and don't let go until we get to shore." I looked up to see a familiar face. Not being able to remember, I just nodded and did what he said. I held on to him like no tommorrow. The waves seemed to calm down a lot and there was almost no waves. Eventually, I felt my feet touching something that seemed like sand. I was going to let go, but I couldn't. My legs felt weak.

I could barely walk and it seemed obvious to my saviour. I felt myself being picked up by the guy. If it weren't for the fact that I wasn't dying, I would've laughed. It looked like a scene from a movie. The girl's arms wrapped around the guy, shivering in his hold, while the guy was holding the girl close, carrying her like a groom carrying his bride. Finally, he let me down. I unwrapped my arms from him and stood up straight, but fell back down. I didn't hit the ground. Instead, I was held up by a figure. I saw long blonde hair. I immediately knew who it is.

"Oh my God, thank goodness you're okay! What were you thinking?" I hugged her tightly.

"I'm sorry..I..I just wanted to hold on to her."

"You had us worried!" One by one, they all said something and hugged me. When I felt like walking again, I untangled from their hugs and went to hug mom. She seemed surprise, but hugged me back.

"I'm so sorry..I kept secrets from you when you had the right to know." I pulled away, smiling.

"No more secrets?" I held out my pinky and she chuckled, but held up her pinky.

"Promsie." She locked out pinkies together and we both smiled. Then, I walked away from her and went to my saviour. I didn't know what to say or how to face him so I hugged him. That way, he wouldn't be able to see my face.

"Thank you." He didn't say anything, but gave a simple nod and hugged me back.
