𝐇𝐈𝐃𝐃𝐄𝐍 𝐅𝐄𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒, 𝗉𝗈𝗉𝖾 𝗁𝖾𝗒𝗐𝖺𝗋𝖽

5: 𝚋𝚎𝚊𝚌𝚑 𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚝𝚢

The five Pogues all walked together to the beach, the kegger in hand. Y/n stood beside Pope as John B and JJ set up the kegger before they all took red solo cups, filling their them with the liquid.

After about an hour or so, many more teenagers joined the Pogues, taking their own drinks from the kegger as the beach was soon getting crowded with teenagers.

"Alright. You can't understand the Outer Banks without understanding the boneyard. It's kinda like a three-layer burrito."

"Yo, what's up, homie?" John B greets as he fills a red solo cup from the kegger.

"What's up, man?" A blonde boy greets back, taking the drink from John B.

"There's us and our friends, the working-class derelicts."

John B proceeds to fill another cup before her goes to his right, being greeted with more people, though they don't hold happiness on their features when seeing the Pogue in front of them.

"Then, there are the Kooks, the rich second-homers."

John B raises a brow before holding out the cup for the Kook. However, as the boy goes to grab it, John B moves it away before the Kook snatches it from the Pogue's hand.

"They're mostly from Pouncey-ass boarding schools, just rich trustafarian posters. Our natural enemies."

Shaking his head while the Kook walks away, John B turns to his left while filling another drink, seeing a girl standing in front of him.

"And then, there are the Tourons."

"Want a beer?" John B asks.

"Totally clueless. Here for a week on vacation with their families."

"Thanks." The girl replies as she takes the drink.

Eventually, he was joined by JJ and Kie as he filled another drink, looking at girl.

"Hey, you want a beer?" John B questions, holding it out for her.

"Chum for the sharks."

During the party, Y/n found herself sitting beside Pope the whole time, the two happily talking to one another, ignoring the others around them. Pope couldn't keep his eyes off her, wanting to talk to her all day, everyday if he could.

Away from them, Kie walked towards John B with a smile as he was talking to a girl. However, her smile vanished when she saw a certain blonde on top of a red fallen object.

"What is she doing here?" Kie asks.

Catching John B's attention, he hums in question before following her gaze, eyes finally landing on the certain blonde girl.

"That's Sarah Cameron. Kook princess. Kiara and Y/n's best friend in the ninth grade and eighth grade, worst enemy in the tenth grade and ninth grade. I work on her dad's boats, so, you know, I've seen her around."

As John B continued staring at Sarah, a boy came up from below her while Kie walked off, rolling her eyes.

"Then that's Topper, her not so pleasant boyfriend. Topper actually thinks Pogues were bred to mow lawns."

Topper helps Sarah down as John B continued staring at her, the Kook princess not noticing. With Pope and Y/n, the two continued talking to one another until a certain song came on, which instantly caught Y/n's attention.
