Gun's POV

"Thank you," Mark had said to me after finishing up the water that I brought him, "You are very kind."

"I wasn't just being kind," I said without thinking.

Then when I realized what I had just said, I found myself feeling warm all over my face from embarrassment.

"What do you mean?" Mark had asked.

He was looking at me intently, waiting for my answer but I was too embarrassed to say a word.

Finally Mark turned his head away from me, saying, "It's okay, you don't have to answer my question."

"No, no, no!" I found my voice. "What I meant to say... what I really wanted to say ... what I really meant was... "

"You really don't have to say anything if you're not comfortable ... "

I did not give Mark a chance to finish his sentence. I grabbed his face and turned it so that he was facing me and before I could change my mind I placed my lips on his.

I kissed him gently at first but my longing for him increased and I deepened the kiss. I kissed him with all the passion that I felt inside me.

Suddenly I realized that he was not responding to my kiss. His eyes were closed.

Shit, he wasn't breathing! He had fainted.

"Mark! Mark!" I cried, shaking him as hard as I could.

When he did not respond, I ran wildly out of the room.

"Help! Somebody help! Mark is not breathing!" I yelled to everybody, anybody who could hear me.

Perth and Saint and Mean and Plan and Title came running from different places of the house.

"What happened?" they all asked at the same when they converged in the living room where I was calling for help.

"Mark is unconscious!" I yelled as I ran back to the room.

Everyone followed me into the room where Mark was lying on the bed.

"What do you mean he is unconscious?" Perth asked angrily as everyone else looked on at Mark who was sitting on the bed, his eyes wide open, his chest going up and down as he gulped in as much air as he could.

"He wasn't responding to me before I left the room," I squeaked in embarrassment.

"I'm sorry," Mark said weakly to me. "I did lose consciousness earlier. It was because I was still not strong enough to take the passionate kiss that you just gave me."

"Whaaattt???" everybody cried in unison.

I jumped on to the bed and covered Mark's mouth.

"Don't do that!" Saint scolded me. "He's not gonna be able to take in air that way. Do you want him to lose consciousness again?"

I removed my hand from Mark's mouth. I pleaded to him silently with my eyes and he understood and nodded.

Then I looked at everyone and said, "You're right. I can see that Mark is still not yet well enough from his unfortunate experience in the river. He will be needing constant care and attention. I will bring him to my room and take care of him."

With those words, I scooped him from the bed and carried him to my room.

As I passed by Perth, he winked at me. Shit, I knew what he was thinking.

I glanced at Mean as I passed by him in the doorway. He winked twice at me. Shit, I was sure that he was thinking something worse than what Perth was thinking.

The door to my bedroom was slightly I ajar. I kicked it to open it wider. Then I gently laid Mark down on my bed.

I was about to straighten up when he reached for my neck and pulled me down.

"I wasn't really unconscious earlier," he whispered in my ear before pressing his lips on mine.

I pulled away from him and went to the door and locked it.

"You better not be kidding me this time," I said before raising my shirt and pulling it over my head and tossing it to the floor.

Then I joined him on the bed where he received me with warm loving arms.
