12. Park Sunghoon - Ice Bear

It was nearly dark and your boyfriend, Sunghoon hadn't got back from the ice rink. What is he still doing there? So you decided to check up on him and visit him at the ice rink. You got your hoodie and left the house. It took a couple of minutes but you finally arrived to see him still practicing his figure skating (I know he's retired just play along please 😭🙏)

Mesmerized, you decided not to disrupt and just sit to watch. Completely immersed in his skating, he wasn't aware of your presence. Everything about him looked ethereal at that moment. He was luminescent in your eyes as he glided across the ice, landing a perfect triple axel. Too engrossed with his beauty, you didn't notice him calling your name.

"Y/N. Y/N! Earth to Y/N!"

"Huh?"

"Why did you come here? It's cold and dark out."

"It wasn't too dark and I put on a hoodie."

You gave him his skate guards which he put on after gently wiping the ice off his skates. He stepped out of the rink, sitting down to replace his skates with his shoes. He turned to you, hands in his pockets, standing to one side after he was done putting on his coat, ready to leave with you.

"Let's go before it gets too dark"

"Yeah. Let's go and we can watch movies when we get home"

The two of you got up and left, hand in hand, from the ice rink. Upon leaving, the freezing cold wind hit you straight in the face sending a shiver through your body. Which of course, Sunghoon took notice of.

"You're cold right?"

"Nooo. I'm fine. It's only a little bit of wind. Nothing to worry about."

The cold seemed to make the walk home longer than it actually was. You were pulling in your left hand inside the sleeves of your hoodie to keep the slightest bit of heat in. Your right hand, however, was still exposed to the wind. You eventually fully gave in and admitted that you were in fact freezing to death.

"Hey, Sunghoon...?"

"Hmm?"

"It's getting a little c-cold..."

"I told you so"

"Fine you were right but I'm freezing here."

You whined, earning a chuckle on his part. You tugged on his hand and begged him to at least get you a hot chocolate from the store to keep you warm. Until he suddenly hugged you from behind while wrapping his coat around you, fully engulfing you into a bear hug. You immediately jumped at his sudden action. Normally, he wasn't this cuddly with you. Especially out in public.

"Don't ever scare me like that, you big ice bear"

"Better?"

He said, taking both your hands and putting both of them in his coat pocket. You mumbled in response.

"yeah..."

This is what I came up with at midnight while hugging my polar bear(yes I sleep with stuffed animals. I have a bunny, panda, and 2 dogs as well😩💗) My polar bear, which I named after Ice Bear from We Bare Bears, reminds me of Sunghoon. I did so much research for this one. Like what kinds of jumps and spins figure skaters do and literally went right back to the most well-known one, the famous triple axel. I found that Mirai Nagasu was the first American figure skater to land the triple axel at the Olympics in 2018. SO UM THAT'S FUN. THERE'S YOUR FACT OF THE DAY IG. I also found out what those thingies they put on their skates were called(skate guards btw) YAY I LEARNED SOMETHING NEW.

(BTW I APOLOGIZE IF ANYTHING WAS TOO CRINGE FOR YOU 😭😭 I TRIED)
