"Y/N!! Are you almost done??"

"Almost! Just looking for Layla's toy!!"

The two of you were going on a picnic date since he finally had free time in his busy schedule. And of course, any happiness is also shared with the smartest dog in the world, Layla. (omg ENGENES love u, Layla😍😭)

At the moment, the house was a mess. Layla was busy looking for her favorite chew toy with you right behind her doing the same and Jake was fixing the lunch you were going to eat, packed it up, and put it in the car.

"Found it! We can go now, come on Layla."

The three of you got in the car, driving to your destination. Once you arrived, Jake let Layla out of the car to play while the two of you set up your picnic. Everything was just perfect.

Until it began to rain.

"Aw, man! Y/N, let's go before we get sick."

Layla didn't seem to mind the rain and continued to play until you had to gesture her to come back to the car with you. The rain got heavier and the car was parked far from the picnic site so the three of you got drenched fast. Everyone dried off inside the car. You put the sweater you brought on Layla so she wouldn't get sick. Jake, on the other hand, was upset and pouting at how the day turned out.

"This day sucked. And we can't even try again tomorrow."

"It didn't suck, we still got to eat our food. We can go home and watch movies instead"

Once home, you dried Layla off first before the two of you took a shower (one by one of course 🙄 this is a family-friendly place). You got in your matching pajamas with Jake and cuddled on the sofa while watching (movie of your choice). With Layla huddled up on Jake's lap like the cute doggo she is.

"See? The day wasn't so bad after all, huh?"

"Yeah but it wasn't as planned either"

I have Grammarly downloaded because of school so now whenever I forget to add a 'hyphen' (😌) or a comma is always corrects me. It's annoying but it helps ig.
