Playing with Memories

Chapter 9

“What? You kidnapped Natasha? Where do you want me to come? Where have you hidden her?” shouted Robert with disappointment and anger.
“Don't be so desperate. you will not be able to cheat on me with her. Now, come here at once I am sending you the address arrive here tomorrow morning” The address she sent to Robert was the same where she kept Emily and threatened Natasha. Steffi had only 3 men working for her in New Delhi and they all were involved with the kidnapping. Steffi threw water on Natasha, and asked, “What were you doing with Robert in the cafeteria?”
“Nothing at all. Why have you kept me here? I have not done anything wrong. Leave me at once” said Natasha.
“Come on, don't behave so harshly with me. You have to survive the whole night here. So, be careful with your words” said Steffi. It was 11 at night. Steffi went to the hotel where she was staying.
“We cannot sit here. Doing nothing when they have our precious Natasha” said Robert.
“You are right. We have to rescue her at any cost” said Noah.
“I hope that sister is alright” said Emily, she was very worried.
“I have a plan. We will arrive there right now instead of tomorrow morning. In this way, we can rescue Natasha and flee away” claimed Robert.
“Agreed. Let's go” said Noah.
“I will come too” said Emily.
“No, we cannot risk your life. You will have to stay here” said Noah and left.
When they arrived at the given address, they saw a man on the front gate. They made him unconscious and went inside. Two men were facing around Natasha when both of her rescuers came. Both of them had a pistol in their hand. The other two men were pacing around Natasha, also had guns. They pointed them at each other. “Let go of her, and I will spare your life” said Robert.
“No way, instead I say that, get out of here and I will spare your life” one of the kidnappers shouted.
“Who are you and why are you here?”  screamed the another one.
“I am Robert Wilson. And I am here to rescue Natasha”
“And I am Peter Jones, Natasha’s brother I am here to rescue her as well so you better be fast and let my sister free. Otherwise, you two will suffer the consequences”
Steffi’s men realised someone behind them. It was Aisha and Emily, they also had pistols in their hand and pointed them on Steffi’s men.
“I told you not to come here, Emily” shouted Noah.
“You always want to have all the fun right?”  said Emily with a smirk.
All the four of them tied all the kidnappers together and also and untied Natasha.
“Thank you so much, everyone” said Natasha with tears in her eyes.
“Are you alright?” asked Robert taking her into his arms.
“Yes, I am fine” Natasha was puzzled.
Two minutes passed and all of them enjoyed the joy of reunion.
“Now, what shall we do with them?” asked Emily.
“These men tried to harm my Natasha. They shall die fast” said Robert pointing out the gun on one of them.
“No. we cannot do that at all.” said Natasha stopping him.
“But-”
“They tried to kill me, if we will take their life then what will be the difference be between us and Steffi” said Natasha.
“Then let's leave them in here. And go back home. What do you say?” said Noah.
“Nice plan. When Steffi will arrive here in the morning, she herself will take care of them” saying this all of them left the place.
All of them arrived at Peter's mantion.
It was very late at night, and all of them were very tired too. When Natasha was leaving Robert held her hand and stopped her. “I owe you one dinner. I think tomorrow night is perfect for it. What's your suggestion” he said with a smirk. “Yeah. It’s perfect” said Natasha. All of them went to bed.
The next night Robert took Natasha to a restaurant where they had to talk about something very important.
“Robert, do you remember when we first met?” said Natasha on purpose of coming to know if Robert’s memories were erased or not.
“Yes, how can I forget it. We met at the party at Jefferson’s party which was kept to celebrate the engagement” said Robert. Natasha was extremely astonished by the answer.
“How is this possible? You remember? But I had really erased all your memories”
“You did not erase my memories”
“But, that Saturday night when you came to drop me to my house I erased all your memories, then how is this possible that you remember me?” cried Natasha
“Because. I never had a dinner with you before”
Natasha was too overwhelmed to speak anything for now.
“But you were there, you came to drop me to the house. We also had dinner together. And then I erased all your memories then how do you remember me?”
“The one who came to drop you to your house was not me but my twin Damian. I already knew your plan and all about the incident of Emily’s kidnapping. So I made a plan too, I sent Damian with you on that dinner and after you went to India I waited for a month so that you could become familiar with my friend Peter, but I did not know that he is your brother. When I told him about my plan he was shocked to know that it included you. He told me all about what had happened on the day of your parents’ accident and that you are his sister. After he told me that you have reached India, I executed my plan further, I returned with Peter, when he came to Cape Town. Actually, he came to Cape Town only to discuss our plan further and take me to India” said Robert.
“I have a question. Damian wears a moustache and you are clean shaved. Did he agree to shave very easily? I thought he would never agree to do so” said Natasha.
“Well, it was very difficult to persuade him to shave, but it was worth it”
“But how did you come to know about my plan” asked Natasha.
“Aisha told me, the day you decided to erase my memories”
“So, she was also involved in this” wondered Natasha.
“Any other questions, my lady”
“Just, one more. You live in Braville, also called the TOWN OF MAFIA CITIZENS. Is your family involved in the illegal business too?” asked Natasha with curiosity in her eyes.
“No, not at all. Neither my family nor me are involved in illegal things. We only live there, as you know our headquarters are also in Cape Town. But….”
“But?”
“Steffi is involved in illegal things”
“That was not shocking. I don’t know why” said Natasha.
“Enough with these talks. I have a surprise for you”
“What is it? Although I love surprises, but all the surprises in the recent past have been disastrous” said Natasha.
“Trust me, you’ll like it” said Robert.
Robert bent down on his knees took out a ring from his pocket and said
“Will you marry me, Natasha?”
Natasha could not contain her excitement.
“Sure” she said.
Robert put the ring in her finger.
