Chapter Twenty-one A Nice Walk

Alex's POV

Well,being in that hospital,for what a week or two,was not fun,especially how I got in the hospital."Hey Alex." Brice says."Oh,hey Brice,what are you up to this morning?"I ask him."Nothing except breathing,walking around,and taking in the view."He tells me."Ok,well,do you want to go for a walk outside?"I ask."Sure."He replies."All right let's go."I say and we head outside.As soon as we step outside I get hit with a blast of cold air."Wow,it's cold out here,let me go get my jacket real quick."I say to Brice and go get my jacket."Ok lets go."I say and we start to walk down the block

Dean's POV (They're back)

Sam and I came back to the town where we found that hybrid.Sam pressured me into leaving this town for no reason.But now we're back because some people have been disappearing."We're here."I say to Sam."Good,I'll gi check us in."He says and goes to the motel office.A few minutes later he comes out and syas,"Room seven." "Ok."I say."Let's get our stuff in there and get some sleep,it's pretty late."I say and grab my bag and head to our room."Night Sam."I say and lay down on a bed and fall asleep within two minutes.

Alex's POV

Our walk lasted longer than we thought it would.When we walk in the house everyone is asleep,well everyone except for Jenny."Where were you guys?"She asks us suspiciously."Just out for a walk."I tell her."Likely story."She says."It's true."I tell her."Uh-huh,sure it is."She says,she doesn't believe me."Brice,a little help here?"I ask him."Jenny we were just out on a wall that lasted longer than we thought it would."Brice says defending us."Ok,go to bed,lovebirds."Jenny tells us."We aren't in love Jenny."I try to convince her."Ok,I'll try not to tease you about it." She says."Thank you."I say and walk off to my room,that Jenny and I share now.It takes only a few minutes to fall asleep.

I'm walking through the park and I hear someone singing while playing the guitar."He woke up from dreaming and put on his shoes.Started making his way past two in morning.He hasn't been sober for days."They start.I know that song!I think and start to get really excited."Leaning now into the breeze.Remebering Sunday,he falls to his knees.They had breakfast together but two eggs don't last like the feeling of what he needs.Now this place seems familiar to him."They continue."She pulled on his hand with a devilish grin.She lead him upstairs,she lead him upstairs.Left him dying to get in."They keep going.I start to walk towards the voice."Forgive me I'm trying to find my calling I'm calling at night.I don't mean to be a bother,but have you seen this girl?She's been running through my dreams and it's driving me crazy it seems,I.m gonna ask her to marry me."They continue.That's it,"Remembering Sunday" by All Time Low,of course!I think."And even though she doesn't believe in love,he's determined to call her bluff.Who could deny theses,they're filling his gut.Waking the neughbors,unfamiliar faces.He pleads oh he tries but he's only denied now he's dying to get inside."They continue.I found them!I celebrate."Forgive me I'm trying to find my calling I'm calling at night.I don't mean to be a bother,but have you seen this girl?She's been running through my dreams and it's driving me crazy it seems,I'm gonna ask her to marry me.The neighbors said she moved away,funny how it rained all day.I didn't think much of it then,but it started to all make sense.Oh I can see now that all of these clouds are following me in my desperate endeavour to find my whoever wherever she may be."They continue."I'm not coming back,I've done something so terrible I'm terrified to speak,but you'd expect that from me.I'm mixed up,I'll be blunt.Now the rain is just washing you out of my hair and out of my mind."I sing."I'm keeping an eye on the world,so many thousands of feet off the ground.I'm over you know I'm at home in the clouds,showering over your head."I finish."Well,I guess I'll go home now.I guess I'll go home now.I guess I'll go home now.I guess I'll go home." The guy finishes the song."I wouldn't have guessed someone else would know All Time Low."He says."Neither would I."I tell him."I'm Quentin."He tells me.Hasn't Jenny told me about a Quentin?I ask myself."I'm Alex."I say and hold out my hand for him to shake."Nice to meet you Alex."Quentin says shaking my hand."Do you know Jenny?"I ask him."Jenny who?"He asks."Jenny Shackley."I tell him."Yeah,I think she's mentioned an Alex before." He tells me."Ok,well do you want to hang out some more later?"I ask him."Yeah,but I have to get home."He tells me."Ok give me your number."I tell him."Ok here you go." He says writing his number on a piece of paper and handing it to me."Thanks,see you later Quentin."I say and we walk off in opposite directions.I hear a strange sound and I look around,all of a sudden there's a bright light.

I open my eyes and see Jenny banging pots and pans together."Why are you doing that?"I ask her groggily."We needed to wake you up."She says plainly."Why bang pots and pans together?"I ask."It was the only thing I could think of."She tells me.It must be important,I'm hard to wake up any normal way."Ok look,you resorted to pots and pans,what's wrong?"I ask her."Brice isn't in his room." She tells me.
