Chapter 9

"You made the right choice Adam."

"Yea but I don't feel like I did."

"I can't help you with your feelings but you have to break up with her by tomorrow."

"I don't have more time?"

"No. I'll see you on set."

"Bye."

I hope Bella understands that I was only doing this for her.

I called Bella and asked her to come over.

She arrived 10 minutes after I called her.

"Bella you should have a seat."

"What's this about?"

"Look, I love you so much. And it hurts me to say this, but we need to end our relationship."

"What? Why?"

"Because the producers told Carson that I have to choose between you or the show."

"And you chose the show over your girlfriend?"

"Yes but-"

"How could you? I love you adam. I thought our relationship was finally at peace. But you screwed it up once again."

"Listen, if I chose you, then I would loose my job, and you would get disqualified. If I chose the job we both got to stay on the voice. And I know it means so much for you to win. I only did this for you. Believe me. It's gonna be hard not having you next to me at night to cuddle with. Or to kiss in the morning. I'm gonna miss you so much. And I will never love any girl as much as I love you"

"Promise?"

"I pinky promise."

I leaned in and gave her one last kiss.

"Adam I can't loose you."

"I know babe. We can still be friends. And even hang out on weekends."

"Okay." A tear fell out of her eye.

"Bella, you should go."

I opened the front door and watched her wipe the tears off of her face as she was getting into her car. By now she was crying her eyes out.

I'm not usually emotional but seeing her upset face made me close the front door and cry.

I walked upstairs and into my bedroom. Then I got in my bed and took my phone out of my pocket. I went into my contacts and changed Bella's name from "Babe" to "Bella."

I rolled over facing the side of the bed that she used to sleep on.

Seeing a half empty bed made me miss her even more then I already do. It even made me depressed. I then closed my eyes and fell asleep hoping that all of this is a dream and Bella would still be my girlfriend tomorrow.
