Chapter 15

--1 month later--

--Bella's POV--

I was just now getting into bed when I realized I had to pee. So I headed downstairs. But I tripped on a step and rolled all the way down to the floor. I wasn't in any kind of pain so I thought I was okay. I continued to the bathroom. But blood came out. I screamed for Vanessa. She came running in.

"What's wrong ?" She said with fear.

"Take me to the hospital. Something's wrong"

"Okay."

We rushed for the car and to the hospital.

The hospital doors slid open and Vanessa was yelling for a doctor. They wheeled a bed over to me and rushed me into the emergency room.

--Vanessa's POV--

Seeing Bella like that made me so scared for her and the baby.

I didn't know what to do. I know she wouldn't want me to call Adam but in this case, I needed to.

But I didn't have his number . I walked outside the waiting room and Into the outdoors where I searched for the car we came in . I couldn't find my keys so I used Bella's car. I thought to myself "there has to be something in this car with Adams number " . I unlocked the car door and looked around. I opened all the compartments and finally found a post it note that had the name Adam on it. With a phone number. I quickly took my phone out of my pocket and dialed his number.

"Hello ?"

"Adam ?!?" I responded.

"This is he. Who am I speaking to ?"

"Vanessa Bella's roommate. You need to come to the hospital"

He said in shock "Why what happened ? Is she okay ? Is the baby okay ?"

"Bella didnt tell me anything. She just thought something was wrong. And right now she's in the emergency room. But you have to come quick ."

"Okay I'll be there soon" he hung up.

I made my way back inside to see if the nurses had any new information on how Bella was doing.

I walked up to the front desk looking at the lady. "Is there any info on Bella ? She was rushed into the emergency room a little while ago . She's pregnant . "

The lady looked up at me. "She's still in surgery. But I will let you know if there is any new information."

"Alright thank you" I turned around and say down in the waiting room.

--5 minutes later--

The doors slid open and Adam walked in. I stood up. "Adam. Over here"

"How is she ? " he responded.

"I haven't heard anything. But sit down. "

He sat in the char right next to me.

"So you have no idea what happened ?"

I replied "No. I was upstairs in my bedroom watching tv when I heard Bella scream my name. She was in the bathroom . I saw blood . It was horrible. "

The nurse at the front desk called my name.

Me and Adam both stood up looking at each other and back at the nurse.

We walked over to the desk and stopped in front to hear what she says.

"Some new information just came in. Bella is fine. She's in ICU. But unfortunately the baby didnt make it. I'm really sorry. "

Adams face was horrifying . Tears were rolling down his face. He pressed his head against the counter . I could hear him crying . He just lost his soon to be Son or Daughter. I knew Bella would be just as depressed as Adam. I asked the nurse "Is Bella awake enough to have visitors?"

She looked at me "Bella isn't allowed visitors but I'll give you two and exception. "

"Thank you" I said.

I grabbed Adam and walked him towards Bella's room. We turned a corner and slowly entered the room. Bella woke up and was looking at us.

I murmured "Hey how are you feeling?"

"Fine. Why is Adam here ?"

I looked back at him "He needed to know what happened. It was his kid too."

"What do you mean was?"

"The nurses didn't tell you ?"

She was frightened "Tell me what ? Vanessa whats going on ? Where's my baby ?"

Adam stepped up "She didn't make it ."
