Izuku and Todoroki happily sat on the beach and Todoroki looked at Izuku's mom as she brought out snacks for the two.
"Here you go you two. A little bowl of soba for Shoto," she hands him the soba and he takes it, "and s small bowl of katsudon for Izuku." She hands Izuku the katsudon and he takes it.
"Thanks Mom!"
"Yeah. Thank you Momma Midoriya."
Inko had allowed Todoroki to call her that we she thought it was cute from him. "Of course you two." She went back inside and read a book.
Izuku happily ate his katsudon and Shoto slurped his noodles, one of them hitting his nose. Izuku giggled and looked at him.
Shoto blushed slightly and thought "Even his giggles are cute..."
Izuku quickly finished his katsudon and stared at the water. He really wanted to just jump in, but not with Shoto around. It wasn't that he was scared that Shoto would tell people, he was scared he would be freaked out.
Shoto looked at him. "What's wrong? You're just staring at the water."
He spoke back, "N-Nothing. I'm fine!"
Shoto tilted his head. "You sure?"
Izuku nods and looks away from the water. He got up and stretched. "I-I'll be right back."
Shoto nods. "Okay."
Izuku goes to his house and walks inside. "Mom. I have something to ask you."
His mother closed the book and looked at him. "Of course Izuku. What do you need?"
"I know you've told me to never show my form to anyone... But I want to show Shoto. He doesn't seem like the one to tell anyone!"
His mother sighed, "Izuku, we've talked about th-"
He interrupted her but he knows he shouldn't, "We showed Katsuki Mom! Shoto is no different. He-He's my friend..."
"Izuku..."
"Please Mom. He doesn't even know how to swim. I can teach him. I'm perfect for it!"
His mother let out a defeated sigh. "Okay Izuku. Just be careful."
He runs and hugs his mother. "Thank you Mom."
She hugged him back. "Of course Izuku."
Izuku went back outside and walked up to Todoroki. "I'm back."
He smiles. "Okay. Sit back down."
Izuku shook his head no. "Actually Shoto. I have something to show you. But you have to promise never to tell anyone."
Shoto tilts his head. "Okay?"
Izuku walks to the water and slowly took off his shirt and shorts. He had to in order for his tail to form. He kept his boxers on and jumped into the water.
Shoto stood up and looked for him. "W-Where'd he go? Is he okay?" He ran to the water and flinched. "I'm gonna have to jump in." He walked back and threw himself into the water, letting himself float out slightly soon starting to panic and sink. Shoto flipped upsidedown and Izuku stared at him, his tail wafting slightly and he waved.

Shoto's eyes widen and he looks at Izuku's hands touched his chest.
Izuku spoke softly. "You should be able to breathe now."
Shoto took a deep breath and touched his throat. "I-I'm-" He covers his throat again. "I'm breathing... And talking."
Izuku nodded. "Mhm. I can give other people water breathing temporarily."
Shoto flailed slightly and Izuku put him upright. "Don't flail. It'll make you sink. Instead, move your legs back and forth and move your arms calmly."
Shoto did as he was told and looked at Izuku. "I'm not sinking."
Izuku smiled and giggled, his tail wafting with his giggles. "It's called treading water, silly."
Shoto smiled and blushed.
Izuku looked at Shoto. "I'm gonna teach you how to swim. But again, you can't tell anyone about my tail."
