𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗢, this concludes my first ever book, Videre. thank you to all of those who voted and stayed with me until here.

I didn't know where this book was going until the next day, in the morning at 9am, when I went "Hey! let's make a story outline so I don't get lost!"

Now, I know this book has many flaws, some of them being that it's incredibly wordy and cryptic, also fast paced as heck. Therefore, I will explain some parts that may have seemed a bit confusing!

𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥'𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡. ( 𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗱 )
Yes, reader is blind. I know I've described the surroundings, from the narrator's point of view, but perhaps I should have made it clearer for you guys; sorry bout that.
But yeah, reader uses her cursed technique to be able to see her surroundings, like a second vision.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗟𝗘. ( 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲 )
Videre means "to see" in Latin. I thought that it would be a fitting end, for a reader who was blind, and was finally to see once she passed.
Aside from that, reader also helped Gojo finally be able to see. Despite his all-seeing six eyes, there was things he couldn't see nor grasp, like his own happiness, which reader helped him finally be able to hold in the end.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚. ( 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗯𝘆𝗲 )
I personally really love a good ol' bittersweet ending, so I tried to make the ending to my first book one.
Reader died, and Gojo learned how to embrace happiness. Gojo was happy to have met the reader on that cloudy day, and despite the short time they had together, Gojo treasures it beyond anything.

𝗚𝗢𝗝𝗢'𝗦 𝗦𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦. "𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗦𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚, 𝗔 𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗨𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗦𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗘 𝗜𝗙 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗗𝗜𝗗𝗡'𝗧 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗕𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥."
Gojo knew to smile, and knew that smiling meant happiness, but he couldn't smile genuinely because there was no happiness in his life then.

Reader became the light in his life, the way the sun would break apart a cloudy sky. Finally, at the end of the story, Gojo was finally able to smile genuinely, even if it was only for a short bit.
In the anime, you see Gojo smiling all the time, so I thought, why not place a twist upon that?
And yes, I know that there were things that happened in Gojo's past that would make one cry. I took that into account, despite it not showing in the anime.

𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘. ( 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 )
The mains parts of this story take place before the Jujutsu Kaisen timeline. All this happens before Gojo meets Itadori, Megumi, Nobara, his other students that make him smile. However, it does take place shortly after the loss of his friend. I'm sure you all know who I'm referencing.

𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗨𝗘. ( 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗼𝘀 𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗲 )
I have something for roses and symbolism of flowers, so I found flowers with the word rose in them, found symbolism, and took another word, lament, and slapped em together.
That aside, the chaos rose symbolizes pure chaos. I thought it would be fitting for the two, since when they first met, neither heart was tamed and both reined over chaos. They both were dead set to drown in their sorrows, and depression, and the rain torrented down relentlessly, which also symbolized their raging indecisiveness inside.

𝗘𝗣𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗨𝗘. ( 𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 )
Then, rosemary symbolizes memories, while lament is to express sorrow, to mourn.
Although he mourns after her death, Gojo will forever cherish the memories he's made with [name]. He hasn't known her for long, true, and perhaps part of him is guilty for maybe using her as a tool to overcome the sheer sorrow of the loss of his friend.
However, as time passes, he finds that her truly cares for her as her, and values every lesson, every memory that she brought upon him.

That's all!
Stay tuned; this is only the first book of many I plan to write. I apologize if this one was disappointing in any way.
I'm writing another Gojo book next; called Crystal Heart. it's going to be an AU, and hopefully, I can do better there. however, naturally, there will still be angsty moments that spice it up. After all, I find that I enjoy sad and angsty things more than pure absolute fluff.

I will also make an JJK oneshots book.

Thank you for reading Videre

Also, wtf. This authors note is longer than several of my chapters.

xoxo, 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶.
