Perhaps you simply had missed it, considering you were blind, but you didn't remember Gojo opening the door from Yoshinobu's office, nor the two of you walking down the halls you had previously gotten lost in.
Gojo and you were in his room once more. Poof, just like that.
".. How'd you do that?" you asked after a moment's pause. Gojo sat down on his bed, and you sunk down beside him. He didn't answer.
With that, the two of you had lapsed into silence, just like when you had first met. The silence was not only bearable; it was comfortable, too. It felt like you both were understood, that you had a shoulder to lean on.
Throughout your life, you had found silence where cheers, music, sounds. Then, you'd gone blind, and all those sounds had left. For the second time in your life, you found yourself not minding the silence, instead choosing to embrace it.
Gojo tilted his head, replying at last. "Do what?"
You waved your hand through the air, struggling to find words. ".. Moving from one room to another that quickly."
He smiled. "It's just simple teleportation," Gojo said. You raised a brow. It certainly didn't seem nor feel simple.
Gojo's lips curled from a small smile into a smirk. "Don't believe me?" he asked, and you thought about it.
You did believe the fact that it was teleportation; there was no other way he'd be able to get past a door without opening it, no matter how fast he went. It was sure to still make a sound.
You shook your head slowly. "No, I believe you."
Gojo softened and relaxed, leaning backwards onto the bed. You did the same a moment's hesitation after.
There was no point in not doing so after sharing a bed, right?
There was silence once more, and you could practically feel the question at the tip of Gojo's tongue. His brows were furrowed now; he wanted to ask, but he was afraid for the answer, and so, he was being indecisive.
After a few minutes, it seemed like he had finally mustered his voice.
"This morning.. " started Gojo. should he ask, and risk a negative reaction from you, or should he not ask, and wait 5 days to see what it was about?
He made up his mind.
"You said '5 days left'. 5 days left until what?"
You tensed. In a moment of delusion, you had let one of your deepest secrets slip out. You had guarded it while placing your relationship with others, whether it be mentor, friend or family on the line. You allowed absolutely no one to know, not even people who you had considered close at the time.
Because of that, you had pushed everyone away.
No one stayed behind, and you were left alone. Just you and your music. And frankly, you didn't mind; you enjoyed the serene peace anyways.
"You don't want to- don't need to know." you answered, even though some small part of you knew that Gojo wouldn't take that as an answer. "It's not important."
Gojo scoffed. "I'm a master of knowing things that aren't important as well as overreacting," he stated plainly, and his head tilted so that his blindfolded eyes stared right into your own. Despite the fact that they were covered, you could feel their piercing gaze, the piercing cold. "Try me."
He wasn't smiling anymore. He wasn't goofy anymore.
He was serious as day.
You pursed your lips, and let them curl into a frown. "Are you absolutely sure you wish to know?"
There was a pause, then, "I said, try me."
He was the first in a long, long, long time to be so persistent on digging up your secrets.
