While you were looking towards the remaining you were also developing quite the bad case of coughs, which you promptly ignored. It was the third day of Gojo and his adventures along with you, and to say you were excited was a severe understatement.

When you had first met Gojo, you'd taken him for the quiet, distant gentleman. However, that image soon dissipated as you hung around him more. He had a scary side; angry, he had a goofy side, and sometimes, he would open up.

There was more to him than what met the eye.

Yet, he did such a great job of hiding it, even you, with many many years of experience, was unable to find a crevice until he let you.

And now, that very moment was a good example of excited Gojo, who you could almost call a child.

He was practically bouncing and sparkling with glee, seemingly proud of a 'surprise' he had prepared last night. Which was funny, because you didn't remember him slipping out of the room the two of you shared.

Or maybe he did so very discretely, when you were in deep sleep. After all, he could teleport, and wouldn't need to bother the door.

"What's this surprise you speak of?" once again, you allowed Gojo to drag you to the designated place he had chosen.

"This again?" Gojo asked, and even though he turned his head to look down at you, his speed never faltered. "I thought we were past asking where we're going."

Yes, Gojo had looked down upon you because he was carrying you this time, rather than dragging you behind him like a kite. You'd say you preferred this, but to be honest, being able to feel Gojo's lithe, yet firm chest wasn't helping your mental concentration in any way.

Clearing your throat and trying to catch a glimpse of the surroundings that were passing in a blur, you still didn't fail to catch how the surrounds slowly faded from a city's tall buildings, to trees, then to a horizon blurred by speed.

From that alone, you were able to tell that Gojo was moving away from the city and into the countryside.

What surprise could he possibly have prepared there?

Soon, you found yourself nodding off. However, you were shaken awake gently around a minute after you managed to doze off. Gojo nodded forward, and you blinked your eyes open to see black.

Then, you realized that in both your haste and excitement, you had forgotten to activate your technique.

Gojo chuckled and put you down, where you swayed on the spot for a bit. Looking around you once more, you noticed that the two of you were in a lush meadow, surrounded by trees and the lowering sun. In the very center, there was a large tree; the largest of them all. And it sat all alone in the very center, like it was commanding the others.

"Do you have something for sunsets, or is that just me?" you mused, and Gojo pushed your arm gently in retaliation.

"No, I just think they're fit for everything," he replied, as he looked out at the sky. You tilted your head in slight agreement. "You know, picnics, goodbyes, meetings, greetings- just everything. plus, they're a beautiful sight."

You nodded in agreement now.

That was true; sunsets had the comfortable and nice feel to them that just made you want to sit in that moment forever, and this time was no different.

As the sun lowered and retired behind its golden veil, the sky began to darken. The moon creeped up and took its place and rotation in the sky, and small lights began to flicker around.

Or were those fireflies?

They gathered and flitted around the huge tree in the center, many, dozens, on a single branch. The entire tree lit up a brilliant light, and surrounded you and Gojo in a bright gleam.

"Wow," you were speechless. The tree was so beautiful, so bright, that you had forgotten to speak.

"The fireflies are attracted towards this type of tree specifically," Gojo explained, and he held up a singular branch broken off the tree. When he did it, you had no clue, but you soon knew what he was up to.

A couple of stray fireflies rose from the grass and landed on the branch, soon leaving Gojo holding a bright branch that illuminated his face. He handed it to you, and you took it slowly.

The two of you spent a while gazing, until you looked up at him.

"Thank you," you started. "For bringing me here. I had a great time."

He only nodded and smiled at you, turning to stare back up to the sky.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it."

𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗦 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗘:  𝗜'𝗠 𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗥𝗬 I've been gone. This is coming back, and I'm wrapping it up in a couple of chapters. The plot and remaining number of days and chapters has been altered from Chapter 10 and 7, so I would suggest you guys go re-read chapter 10 and 7. The reason for this was because I felt like 6 would feel too repetitive.

Enjoy!
