"Great, do you have a plan?" I ask him in excitement. Finally. I can return to my people. I can fill my role as deviant defender.
"Uhhh. . ." he trails. I shake my head. "Look I just decided on a whim but I'll think of something."
"Okay, I'll think too." I assess my options. We could let out the prisoner next to me and cause a distraction while he gets me out. The issue would be that Gavins fingerprints would be all over the lock. I don't want to get him in trouble for my sake. We discuss it and then I see a lightbulb above his head.
"What if I get on Hanks case. Not actually but I tell him I want to be in on the interrogation. He can put my name down and then the fingerprints won't be suspicious at all. It would seem I came to get you for the interrogation."
"Okay, okay I like it. Try it."
"I'm on it," he says and disappears behind the wall. Hank is as stubborn as they come and he hates Gavins guts, but he can't deny a spectator for an interrogation. And Gavin is pretty convincing. There's nothing to do but wait in my cell, but I can think of what to do after I leave my cell. I still need a way out. There's the window Epizon escaped from. Or the back door. Or the janitorial corner.

Gavin hasn't returned yet but Connor has. He hasn't looked my way at all. Instead his focus is on my neighbouring prisoner. Connor puts his hand on the lock and the cell door opens. I immediately get up to the front glass pane and get a closer look. Connor comes my way, turns his head my way briefly, but keeps going. I watch him go and quickly avert my attention to the prisoner. He's confused at first, but slips out of his cell, attempting to be sneaky. He passes the wall so I activate my scanner to watch his body heat through the walls. He doesn't get far when a group of officers all grasp onto him and start taking him back. This would have been a good dist-
"Come on," I hear Gavin's voice. He's unlocked my cell door, and the group of officers with the prisoner are fast approaching. I exit the cell, and we quickly turn to the next hall. "Okay, they're distracted. You can easily get out. Everyone here is super nosey." But I can't leave. Connor's up to something. He heads towards the evidence room as everyone else is distracted. He must have grabbed Hank's key.
"Thank you Gavin, but I can't leave yet."
He looks at me in shock. "You can't? Why not. . ." he trails as he follows my gaze. "Oh that plastic prick. Okay, do what you gotta do."
"You don't want to help me take down another android?" Gavin lifts his brow, intrigued.

Gavin uses his key to get inside the evidence room. I follow suit. Connor's not in this next small hallway, meaning he's already made it downstairs. We both head in and find Connor looking at the pieces of evidence he's collected throughout his investigations. It doesn't appear to be much, but CyberLife detectives can piece together puzzles with small amounts of information. That's why they were made. "Connor," I say lightly. Gavin grabs his gun out of his holster in record speed and aims it at Connor. I stare wide eyed not expecting this reaction.
"I've been dreaming about this since the first second I saw you," he says.
"Don't do it Gavin. I know how to stop the deviants," Connor replied without looking back. Shoot, he figured it out.
"Mmm, I don't think so. I deem you off the case. . ."
"You don't have any authority over me," Connor says.
". . .definitively." Gavin fires, but Connor already anticipated his movements and ducks behind the cabinet. Gavin corners around him and Connor swats his gun away from his hands. The detective and android commence to brawl: swinging punches and blocking. I get in between them and push them opposite ends from each other.
"ENOUGH!" I yell. I turn to Gavin. "We didn't come down to kill him!" I turn to Connor who appears confused looking at me. "What do you know?" I ask him.
"I know where Jericho is. You can't stop me from finding it now," Connor says rising to his feet. He's right. The only way to stop him is Gavin's way. But I'm no killer.
"Connor, I told you I'd bring you to Jericho, but not like this. Not when you want to destroy our kind!"
"I have to. They pose a threat to-"
I cut him off. "What threat?" I want to laugh. "We're no threat at all. We just want to be free. Don't you get it." Connor averts his gaze behind me, Gavin.
"I can do it Celeste. I'll pull the trigger." I turn my head to Gavin to decline, but Connor saw this as an opportunity. He runs into us with full force, knocking us onto the ground. I lift my head and see Connor exiting the room. I have to get to him. But I check on Gavin first. He's alright.
"That plastic prick!! I should have shot him!"
"I have to go after him," I say wearily. As long as I beat him to Jericho, I can warn the others and we can prepare for an attack. He will alert the humans. Even if it's unintentional.
"Okay, okay. I'll cause a distraction. Hmm, beating up the old man might do it for me. Next best thing to that plastic utensil."
"Hank's a lot stronger than you give him credit for," I defend.
Gavin laughs. "We'll see about that." We run up the stairs. Gavin leaves first as I leave a small opening in the door to peek through. I didn't reject his idea of him starting a fight with Hank. I know for sure Gavin will lose that one. As much as I would love to see it, I don't have time. Gavins voice raises loudly in the precinct and captures the attention of almost everyone. Little by little they start heading towards the detective and lieutenant. Either to stop it or to watch. I take this chance. I sprint through the precinct. I capture the attention of a few officers and androids, but I don't stop. I can outrun all of them. I push a few out of the way. Like Connor, nothing can get in my way on this mission. And then I break open the doors. The breeze hitting my artificial skin, the sun blazing bright. I keep running, hoping to outrun the famous deviant hunter.
