They'll ask, "what happened to her."
A will say, "you know she's actually pretty awesome and funny."
Three others will agree
They'll say, "I miss her."
In all their heads they'll be thinking, "why did she leave?"
And then that brave soul will voice the question
"Why did she leave?"
Someone will say, "Ya, this is the best group ever. Not as annoying, more cool,"
In people's heads they'll be thinking, "ya, we have the richer kids."
And it gets voiced again, "Why did she leave?"
One past friend will say, "I dunno we were once great friends. Guys, we were once besties, then JC and I started hanging out and she became more distant."
So they'll blame it on her being jealous of JC for getting all of the attention.
But really he knows why she left. The reason why he wants to leave.
But he can't because he's too far in and there is nowhere for him to go
He wants to tell the group, "she left because we all started being fake. Excluding her. Hanging out when she couldn't come. She stopped respecting us when we starting bullying each other. Hurting each other just for fun. For she is a girl who likes to have fun, but not like that. Because she is also smart and clever. She found her way out. Seventh grade that's when we lost her. We got into the middle school drama. She avoided it, while avoiding us. Now she's moving on with her life while we're still here. Scaredy cats, hanging onto only each other some in love while others insecure. "
But he couldn't and would never say that
Just like he would never hear her say she loved him
Both kept secret because society made them too afraid to speak
Now they're walking on separated paths that once met but now never will.
