Tatum was stood in a corner on her own, away from everyone as they all had the same idea and train of thought, 'if we stay distanced then we can't catch whatever was on those peoples arms...'. She had been updating jay and Will but she'd also been calling Tegan and Riley to tell them what Will had said to her and she had found out that they were on the floor below doing the same thing she was doing, social distancing at its finest. She was snapped out of her thoughts when a man in a white hazmat suit, a rather scary looking outfit, walked up to her, "we're gonna need you to follow the rest of the group ma'am, we're conducting a quarantine drill" he pointed to the train of people being guided into a tent outside of the mall.

She gulped and nodded before spacing herself away from the family in front of her but followed them down the escalators, making sure she kept her hands away from everything. When she got into the ground floor she saw the bodies laying on the floor, the skin looked rotted and dead, but the people were still alive, she was just scared whatever was happening to them would happen to her. It took about half an hour to actually get the whole of the mall shoppers into brown prison like clothes, their hair washed, and their bodies disinfected with a machine spray before they were placed into lockdown vans and transferred to gaffney med. Tatum was just glad she would be at the hospital her brother works at rather than being stuck on her own with no clue as to what was going on.

                 Jay was sat bouncing his leg up and down, Tatum had stopped responding to his texts and calls for some reason which was making him sick to his stomach so he had to call Will to calm his nerves. 
Jay: "she's not answering me anymore, have you heard anything?"
Will: "she might be on her way to our quarantine blocks, if she is they'll have taken everything away from her. That means her phone, her clothes, everything. She's probs just in transit right now, that'll be why she's not answering you"
Jay: "if she comes to med am I allowed to see her?"
Will: "nope, I can try pull some strings but there are strict rules they're going by. No visitors at all, but I'll be there with her and so will dr Marcel and Nat"
Jay: "alright, keep me updated. I'm going insane"
Will: "don't stress, I'll make sure she's fine and gets one of the safest blocks"
Jay: "thanks man"
Will: "yeah no problem"

                      He put his phone down and ran his hand over his face but almost immediately his phone pinged; instantly, he picked up his phone to view the message.
Will: "she's alright, she's just walked through the quarantine blocks now. I'll keep an eye on her"
Jay: "thank god, good good. Thanks man"
Will: "anytime"

                   He put his phone down and sighed in relief, "tates at med, she's in quarantine so we can't see her. Wills gonna keep us posted" he nodded at the team who were now all in the bullpen.  They all smiled and nodded supportively as hailey walked past him, "told you she'd be alright" she squeezed his shoulder.  Jay smiled and nodded before watching his partner walk into the break room.

About an hour later hailey had to go out to check on something to do with a past case, jay just stayed in the bullpen since hank had told him to stay out, especially now that Tatum is in quarantine. His phone pinged suddenly which snapped him out of thought, "Halstead text upton that address, get her to check it out and meet her at med" hank pointed to him. Jay looked up and nodded as he grabbed his jacket and pinged the address to hailey before running downstairs and getting into his truck. He drove straight to med, half hoping he would get some kind of leeway and he let in to see his daughter.

Hailey knocked on the front door of the location jay had sent her, "hello ma'am? Chicago PD, I'm coming in!" She called out. After a second silence she kicked the door down and ran through the house carefully with her gun raised. It didn't take long before she found the older woman laying on the floor covered in blood, it didn't look like anything too serious so she crouched down and stopped the bleeding before calling in an ambulance. About 5 minutes later an ambulance pulled up and rushed inside before removing the patient and getting her into the ambulance. Hailey got into her car, covered in fresh blood, and drove to med to meet jay and check in the victim she just saved.

                   As she arrived to med she met jay and walked into med by his side as the patient was wheeled into a trauma room in front of them, "what happened?" Will walked over to them.  Hailey shrugged, "no idea, I walked in and she was laying on the floor" she huffed, "her husband's just arrived now" she nodded to the worried elderly man in the waiting room.  Will nodded at his brother, "can you go get her medical information from him?" He nodded.   Jay smiled weakly and nodded before going over to the man to question him, Will went to go and treat his patient and take over from Doris when he noticed that hailey was covered in blood, "is that your own blood?" He pointed to her shirt and arms.  Hailey shook her head, "no it's hers" she furrowed her brows.  Wills eyes widened, "stay here, do not move and don't touch anything or anyone. I'm gonna go get nat to check you over" he backed up and went to go find his girlfriend and work colleague.

                   Hailey stood there in worry as it hit her, the woman must've been infected and she could've contracted it, "shit" she mumbled to herself then looked over her shoulder to see jay comforting the older man.  She done as the red head said and stood still before Natalie walked over to her and kept a distance, "alright hails, we're gonna have to quarantine you here in led but we need to check you over first. Follow me and I'll show you the showers, you'll have to change as well" she began walking away, "don't worry we'll update jay as soon as we can" she added when Haileys eyes darted over to her partner.  The blonde nodded and followed Natalie around as people avoided her as if she had some kind of illness that could kill them from even just staring at her; she took the shower and changed into a hospital robe before Natalie began the physical exam with a UV light and magnifying lens, she scanned over every inch of body.

Natalie had checked over Haileys waist upwards, leaving her hands to last, then moved onto her legs, "what about your legs?" She began scanning over them. Hailey sighed, "I just shaved this morning" she huffed, Natalie smiled weakly, "I'm just gonna check them for any nicks" she nodded. She smiled hopefully and nodded, "they're fine" she sighed happily then took her left hand, "looking clear" she nodded then grabbed her right hand but stopped and frowned at her pinkie finger, hailey picked up on the doctors mood changed, "what happened here?" Natalie showed her the torn skin around her pinkie nail. Hailey shrugged, "I don't know, probably hit a hangnail or something" she sighed. Natalie nodded then checked over it once again, "is that a problem?" Hailey enquired. Natalie set the UV light down and drew her lips into a think like before nodding sadly, "we're gonna have to place you into quarantine for 24 hours, or until we get your labs back" she sighed.

Hailey sighed, "at med? Does that mean you can place me in a block near Tatum?" She says up a little more. Natalie nodded, "I can sort that out for you yeah" she smiled weakly, "I'll be back in a second, don't touch anything or move" she added them left the room. Natalie informed Will on the situation so the red head walked over to his worried brother, "hey man, how is she? How's Tate?" Jay stood up. Will nodded, "tates fine, I just checked on her. Haileys being put into quarantine though, it's just a standard 24 hour hold or until her labs come back but she's fine for now. No need to worry" he put his hand out. Jays eyes widened, "god..." he rubbed his face, this was only getting worse...
